Director of one of the best episodes of any tv show to air on TV, Ozaymandias - Breaking Bad, is calling the shots for Episode VIII. Rian Johnson is directing/writing it. For those that may not remember, that is the episode Hank gets killed off. It was an incredible show. Increases my level of excitement for Episode VIII.

Music implying Snoke is Plagueis? Check out this video. It has 3 parts. Music played when Palpatine speaks of Plagueis, music played w/ Snoke's appearance and both pieces being played at the same time. They sound very identical.

Lucas originally had Luke Skywalker as a girl, have no idea what her first name was, and the last name was Starkiller. Videogame makers took Starkiller from Lucas's rough draft for Star Wars.

The base in Episode VII is called Starkiller. Wonder how many know that was the original last name for Luke? Lucas eventually switched it to Skywalker. Glad he did. Starkiller just doesn't sound right.

And from the same article, The director acknowledges that R2’s sudden “awakening” at the end was designed to be an emotional storytelling utility: “While it may seem, you know, completely lucky and an easy way out, at that point in the movie, when you’ve lost a person, desperately, and somebody you hopefully care about is unconscious, you want someone to return.” R2D2's awakening was not needed. Look into the entire movie. Rey had glimpses of where Luke was at. Ren believed in them. If he was strong enough in the force, he would have been able to get Luke's location. Ren was too weak. Rey was able to keep that info away from him.

Abrams said the R2D2 moment was to simply take people's minds off of Han Solo's death. It wasn't needed. He said it himself. Look it up.

As an error in strength of force. Ren felt he wouldn't have a problem in getting the info from Rey. He was proven wrong.

The map was not needed. Ren felt Rey had everything the first order needed. He completely ditched the pursuit of any droid. Rey knew where Luke was. She was in no need of BB8 or R2D2.

How can you argue Rey played no role in finding Luke? She had a glimpse of the place Luke was at. Rey has it for a reason.

Point was to find Luke. That does not mean that they were at the first Jedi Temple when the movie came to a close.

Rey saw the past and the future. Did Luke find the Jedi Temple yet? That's a question yet to be answered. Where they are located at the end could be anywhere. Rey could have received Jedi training in the place we saw at the end of the movie. That may have not been the Jedi Temple. Just an idea.

I'd ignore/forget about the entire new trilogy if Jar Jar is Snoke.

To everyone on this board, I think it's great different ideas and hopes are being discussed. Nobody knows what is actually going to go down, so to hear something you hadn't really thought of is rather interesting. There are plenty of "wow, didn't think of that." We all have our own experience w/ Star Wars, and this can lead to different thoughts and opinions. Keep firing away. It's fun to read. Robviously pointed something out I didn't catch until the 2nd time I saw The Force Awakens. Rey having a thought about "an island and an ocean" gives the idea she was w/ Luke and received training before being left on Jakku. Somehow the force and memories were driven deep in her mind to help keep her safe until the time was right.

Questions will be answered in Episodes 8 and 9. Quite sure no question will be left unanswered. The spin offs have nothing to do w/ this trilogy. Next year's release is about how the rebels got the plans to destroy the death star in episode 4. The other spin off is about Han in his early days. I'd love it if Finn actually has the force and is some how related to Mace Windu. Finn was very good w/ light saber. Yes, Ren was hurt, but Finn was able to hang w/ the guy for a bit. Any normal person would've been killed very fast. Maz also convinced Finn to take the light saber. She's an important character.

Santa has the ability to slow time. It seems as if it only took him 58 seconds to us, but it actually took the standard x amount of minutes or hours to get there. :) ha ha
