I don't think we can out of hand just dismiss what you're saying. I certainly think it's time,though, to turn our attention toward Housley and leave Dan Bylsma out of our assessments. I'm not sure Housley is going to be a good or a bad coach but comparing him to anyone else doesn't determine it either way. I do think this team's better than it's record.

Great. Let's trade him and see what all the experts have to say then. Just tired of so many quick to dump our second best player and touted Evander as our best player. Evander was a very talented and self absorbed player. A common trait with professional athletes.

This is where I'm at. The questioning of ROR is ridiculous. He's a complete player and in his case I don't even want to hear arguments about lack of speed. Speed is becoming the buzz word now. Great post. Thank you.

I'm not as concerned about speed as maybe you are. ROR is not that fast a skater but his overall hockey skills more tan compensate for any speed he lacks. Sure we could use more speed but I'm afraid we may think that's the problem. I still think overall depth talent is our biggest issue. I do agree the speed on defense needs to increase.

I agree on a few points. No this team doesn't need to be blown up. It lacks depth there are a core of very good players. As far as Schopp and Bull Crap go don't take any of them seriously. WGR is a terrible radio station who run more commercials than programming as much as I detest commercials at least it allows an escape from the non stop dribble coming from their hosts. Quit listening long ago.

Absolutely. Can't understand many fans who grossly undervalue ROR. Next to Jack he's our best player. Plays both ends of the ice and great faceoff guy. Guess I shouldn't be surprised when I see how highly some valued Kane.

Posters on these boards play fantasy games. They make suggestions and even concrete statements that just are hot air with no evidence other than what was probably the latest bar talk. This includes talk show bantering. They have an excuse because they need to fill time and stir things up so someone will listen. At this time I'm inclined to question our head coach before our GM. I still maintain this team's talent with even it's weak areas is much better than it's record.

As people look at our team and what should be done one thing I think comes to my mind first is our head coach. Yes this team needs more talented players. But I have felt all year like they are much better than their record and I still feel that way. I was happy when they hired Housley but I'm seriously doubting him as a head coach particularly of this team. No I'm not saying fire him now but if this team isn't a lot better on or around Thanksgiving next season no matter who they add or subtract from our roster Phil is the first place I would be looking to change.

Did Botterill or any Sabre officials say they expected this. No. Plus even if they started with that doesn't mean they expected to get even close to that. We don't know. Do you read and trust the Enquirer about the same as trusting everything the media puts out. I said before trade deadline I thought second rounder and prospects. You should have trusted me I guess.

Maybe you were hearing this value assessment from people on boards like this or media people who don't know anymore than the guy on the street. So any disappointment should be with those people who don't know anymore than the rest of us but we're sure they did.
