  1. They have their Pegula now, I don't think it will happen that way and their minor league system is stacked WOW, talking smack while the Indians are 13 games behind them now. I'm expecting the Indians to make a bit of a comeback but the Astros currently have the 4th best run differential at this point of the season EVER. Just think they've done this with 4 of their projected starting pitching staff out on IR the majority of the last month and they should all be back possibly by the end of this month. They lead MLB in BA, hits, 2Bs, HRs, OBP, Slugging and have a higher team OPS than the 27 Yankees and have scored 50 more runs than the 2nd place team in the AL!!! Plus with all their perceived pitching woes they are 3rd in the AL with a .015 ERA higher than the #1 team. This team is truly special and if you are a baseball fan you need to see them whenever they're on a national broadcast.
  2. It won't matter in the AL the Astros are going to rule there for awhile.
  3. Hammy Math??? I'd like to see him just bust out this year and get 90+ points. Having said that being burdened with not only the pre-ordained GM role, Captain and leading scorer can he properly manage all those responsibilities without it affecting his play??? I'm guessing he'll be primed to shake off all the naysayers and critics and be in tip top condition to prove himself as the true leader of this team.
  4. Doohickski???
  5. STRONG statements.......... weak backbone :P
  6. Avatar bet he's not on the opening day roster.
  7. Last year took too much out of me. New players, new coach, new philosophy, I'm guessing right about the time they start gelling it'll be too late. More exciting to watch no doubt, better defensively no doubt, bringing some joy back into my hockey life no doubt. Playoffs??? I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment again but I'm also guessing that sometime in October, I'll be full in again. Now.... no way
  8. That's pretty darn close to my guess also Which of course totally obliterates Reinhart ever getting to play C again, but of course that does blow up the hopes and fantasies of the troops wanting him there.
  9. Actually I bet this allows Girgensons to play wing.... he'll the the 4th line center
  10. Presently staffed this is how I see it. Kane-Eichel-Reinhart Girgensons-ROR-Okposo Pouliot-Larsson-Pominville Moulson-Josefson-Gionta??? Des Scandella-Risto McCabe-Bogosian Beaulieu-Antipin Gorges Lehner Johnson Kane wants on a scoring line on his contract year Girgensons last chance at redemption with shortage at LW Bogosian will be a different player without being completely miscast by DDB The defense does look much stronger this year, not great but not a complete sieve
  11. Thanks for the heads up, I could have sworn it looked like kool-aid See you won't be too lonely to start off in there but my opinion is qwksnd could use some fresh air also
  12. I'll be shocked if they add Shattenkirk now though, I know this may kill your hopes but think of it as a positive, you won't have to do any upgrades to the bunker
  13. You have to give him credit because for a new guy he's not afraid to give it a whirl. I'm still going to miss Foligno, you could never question his effort and the way last season ended that's a big plus for him
  14. For the 2nd team I'm guessing but he had 47 points last year I believe
  15. Scandella was one of the Wild's best offensive defensivemen Pominville will slide into Gionta's spot but he'll be 35 when the season starts Going to miss Foligno's physicallity Wish Ennis well but he hasn't been the same in 2 years If Scandella comes back healthy, this is a WIN for us
  16. On second viewing this wasn't as funny as I intended, REMOVED
  17. You describing WildCard???
  18. I agree he'd be good for Rochester but don't you think someone is going to offer him a job with the big boys??? If so, why would he go to Rochester?? I also don't know the scoop on this guy so who knows.
  19. I'm beginning to believe the talk that GMJB is making about team leadership (upper management) being slow and deliberate in making moves on the big club and rebuilding Rochester. It wouldn't surprise me if all the young guys, Bailey, Fasching, Babtiste, Nylander, Guhle, Ullmark, Fedun, Falk etc.... all end up in Lake Ontario land for further seasoning unless someone just makes a drastic impression on HCPH or there's another rash of injuries to start the year. Let some of the crappy contracts play out another year, teach the young guys how to play Housley's style in Rochester and learn how to win up there. Then pull a Laffs and bring everyone up at the same time after the trade deadline rids you of some experienced but bad contract players.
  20. Lehner plus for a Dman??? Rochester bound???
  21. Des scores as often as Gorges completes a pass so would you prefer percentages or tries as a criteria??? Also have a flat out who's better without taking on $ or some magic chrystal ball some might want to use.
  22. Isn't that Pegula's job??? You must have received a pretty sweet deal in Ohio to even think of it........... :P :P
  23. I'm not a great fan but why would we want a player who plays defense that scored 56 points last year and has averaged almost 43 points a season for the past 7 years and we have a coach who was a offensive defensive man??? How many forwards did we have that scored more, 1 maybe??? What does that say about our forward group if this guy can't play for us???
  24. Isn't an NHL UFA eligibility 27 years old or 7 years in the league??? If so he's got 3 years left.
  25. Wasn't there a report from a Vegas reporter that said a deal was in place for them to take Moulson??? Or am I mis-remembering again?? Of those options I think I'd like to keep Bogo and see if Housley can turn him around. I think DDB miscast him probably as much as anyone else on the team.
