  2. On your opinion, I watched the first 2 episodes yesterday, If you like this sort of thing it is definetly one crazy and zany show. I liked it, hopefully it continues thru the rest of the episodes. The music couldn't be better also
  3. ESPN Preview: http://www.espn.com/nhl/preview/_/gameId/400962380 BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Things went surprisingly well for the Buffalo Sabres in their recent three-game road trip. Their return home? Not so much. The Sabres followed up their best stretch of the season with a lackluster display in a 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. They'll look to rebound with another home game against the Florida Panthers on Thursday."Our five-on-five game wasn't where it needed to be," Sabres coach Phil Housley said, according to the team's website. "We talked this morning about where they are as a desperate team. They just played with more urgency. I didn't think we respected the position they were in. Coming off a road trip, you would've thought we would have gained confidence and been sharp."Defenseman Jake McCabe scored for Buffalo against the Devils late in the third period with the team already down 2-0. It was a performance more on par for the majority of the season for the Sabres (14-27-9). Before coming home, the Sabres exceeded expectations in a Western Canada road trip with three wins in three games -- with two of those wins coming via shutout. Florida returned from the All-Star break by snapping a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday night. Harri Sateri made 32 saves in picking up his first career NHL win, and four different Panthers scored goals. … Florida won the first meeting of the season against Buffalo, beating the Sabres 4-1 on Nov. 10 at the KeyBank Center. The Sabres enter the game with the worst record in the Eastern Conference, and the second-worst in the NHL, accumulating just 37 points through 50 games. They had a season-long, three-game winning streak end on Tuesday night with a 3-1 loss to New Jersey. All-Star forward Jack Eichel has been one of the hottest players in the NHL over the last six-plus weeks, with 25 points since Dec. 13. Only three players have more during that span. … Panthers goaltenders James Reimer (pulled groin) and Roberto Luongo (lower-body) are not expected to practice until next week. Forward Jamie McGinn (upper-body) missed Tuesday’s game. LETS GO BUFFALO VS
  4. I wonder if he also took a hit for the lockeroom becoming a mess at the end of last year with him being the captain of the ship. They may have also moved on because of the addition of Pommy.
  5. Having tired of the lousy streaming video I receive from MSG, I have been watching more of the opponents feeds lately. One of the things mentioned on the Sabres was if you pressure their Dmen they'll cough up the puck repeatedly. To me a truer comment hasn't been said. When we play a fast hard forchecking team we look like dog doo doo (Dallas-NJ) and when we don't we look ok (Calgary-Edmonton-Vancouver). Yesterday's game was a perfect example of most of our Dmen being unable to move the puck thru the zone and coughing it up or just throwing it up in the air to center ice which just allows a line change and the opposition just regains the puck and continues its attack. Forwards were open and the outlet pass just was never there. There were times we had open forwards on one side of the ice and Falk, McCabe and Nelson were forcing it on the opposite side and were losing possession, over and over and over again. Personally I think the forwards are playing much better defense which gives the illusion that the Dmen are. Nfreeman I thought the same thing on the GWG against Lehner but it appeared that Risto deflected the puck on the end of his stick which Robin couldn't react to Reinhart is starting to come around, he's been noticeably better lately. Jack is turning into the $10M man. He made one play in the first period where 3 Devils tried to trap him by the boards and he just made an incredible move to free himself from all 3. His confidence level is thru the roof right now.
  6. December 9th thru the 15, 2014 We beat the LA Kings, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and finished it off against the Ottawa Senators in a shootout Jhonas Enroth was the winning GK in all 4 games Tyler Ennis and Matty Moulson led the team in scoring in those 4 games. Our Blue Line consisted of Gorges, Myers, Risto, Zadarov, Weber and Meszaros
  7. Put your boots on and squash that bug.
  8. Only caught the first 2 periods but what a turnaround from this team Antipin with a coming out party the last 2 games of this trip, by far the best he's looked since joining the team Reinhart with 2 HITS this last game, he only was credited with 1 but I know he had 2. First 2 of the season I think. The first one, I thought no way that was Sam, so I followed him around the ice to verify his number. I was like Holy Sheeeeeeeet, he did it, than he had a 2nd one where he did his helmet dance afterward. These past few games especially the last 3, he has really turned it around. Jack has become the $10M man. Even without him scoring he was nothing short of outstanding again yesterday. With the exception of 1 yesterday the power play is BACK. Even when they don't score they are looking dangerous. Not sure if this streak will continue after the break but they are playing like a real NHL team Baptiste making the most of his turn on the team. Whatever they are doing in Rochester appears to be paying off because most of the guys coming up are looking pretty good. Even Nelson is starting to look better on the back end.
  9. Did you finish watching Godless, I liked it and as a further bonus a boob shot of Lady Mary was striking too
  10. Article from the Vancouver Sun on Vanek. http://vancouversun.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/kuzma-vaneks-value-is-a-double-edged-sword-for-transitioning-canucks/wcm/77745c59-d6ac-4e70-ad90-3047235d7532 The early season question seemed relevant. Was Travis Green willing to live with the supposed defensive shortcomings of Thomas Vanek because the well-travelled winger could unleash that heavy and accurate half-slapper at any given moment — or at least set up a linemate or stand his ground in the slot to set screens and tip pucks? The answer was a resounding “yes.” Now, it’s relevant to ask if the Vancouver Canucks can live without Vanek? -snip- ESPN Game Preview: http://www.espn.com/nhl/preview?gameId=400962360 VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Buffalo Sabres and the Vancouver Canucks were not their usual selves. The Sabres (15-22-9) and Canucks (19-23-6) face off Thursday at Rogers Arena on the heels of one-sided wins in their previous games. The Sabres blanked the Edmonton Oilers 5-0 on Tuesday night, and the Canucks thrashed the Los Angeles Kings 6-2, deciding the issues in the first six minutes. They were not the results that one usually expects from the Sabres and Canucks, who are in contention to win the NHL draft lottery and miles away from the playoffs. Now, the question is: What can they do for an encore against each other? -snip- LETS GO BUFFALO.............. Win 3rd in a Row (EDITED TO AVOID PASTING OF ENTIRE ARTICLE)
  11. Harvey will be the most entertaining one

  17. Corned beef or pastrami, otherwise it's not a reuben There is also nothing better than a Reuben and Genesee Cream Ale fart in the car
  18. Yes you are, I feel like I just got biotch slapped here. :P It's the song that got me to listen to anything by a band that didn't play instruments. Yes but "Wham Bam Thank You Maam", has to be the greatest one liner in rock history
  19. Beer barrel shaped hockey players are not ever known for quickness. He's neither Get Back fast nor Breakout fast, so I'm not sure but he is good in the corners.

  22. Jewish rye with seeds and it's not a club without toothpicks in them
  23. There hasn't been a good beef on weck since Bailo's closed. Steak Hoagie, Reuben, Fried balogna-onions with pepper jack cheese on rye are in a dead heat for #1 a very close second is liverwurst sliced extra thick on rye with weber's mustard. Though as I think about it, there's no such thing as a bad sandwich just some better than others.
