The money wasn't the point of @tom webster's and my conversation. The point was he should have never left college or he should have gone directly to the AHL. He may not have signed here if we didn't do some type of hand shake deal that he gets an NHL shot right away. So that begs the question... Should the Sabres have said no to that NHL shot and moved on to a different player?

I assume the Flames. He's not an employee of the Sabres yet. I am also assuming there is language in these types of trades that specifically deals with it, so as not to break any laws.

But would he have made 70k a year doing that and chasing his dream? Personally I don't care either way. I assume the AHL better prepares a player for the NHL.

I think he's had the time of his young life. Got to play a minute and a half of NHL hockey. Which is more than 50%(?) of those in the AHL will ever get to do. As long as he comes *home* with that positive attitude everybody was a winner. I have yet to see another interview with him to see if that is his current perception.. Till then I can only assume he has.

It may have not been the right thing to do, or it may have been the right thing to do for all the wrong reasons having him up here. But. If A mistake was made and we all do it, it only always matters how you correct them. All that matters when he drives back to Rochester is Dalton thinks he was treated fair and square.

If by mismanaged you mean he should have been in Rochester for the last 2 plus seasons I believe the same. If he had been there and done well, which I assume he would have, we should be getting a look at him in a call up to the NHL in this current injury stretch for the first time. That to me would have been proper management.

I can see him getting an offer. Why can't he be our 13th forward? Be nice to have him right now when we've been bitten by the injury bug. Depth on a team is always important.

Highly recommend the Iron Works if you're on a bit of a walk-about the Arena. Last time I was there after a game they had a really good band , no cover and some great prices on their draft beers.

It appears that players and their agents emotions don't get into the mix when Krueger makes his line up decisions. I'm all in on that policy.
