  1. Thank God! I guess I can put the gun away now.
  2. Yep. He’s a team first guy. He knows NU is DOA without him. His other teammates who jumped don’t really care either way. But, he knows the Sabres are a sure thing, so can afford to string them alone for a few more days.
  3. I’ll assume most guys sign for their best offer. Based on that, I doubt most guys regret signing a fully guaranteed contract.
  4. Looking at Lehner in Buffalo and Knight in Florida, I hope the Sabres provide Devon with a 24/7 chaperone/handler.
  5. We can grow to infinity, but the team will only be as strong as its weakest link. And that is keeping the puck out of their own net.
  6. I like that line up. Hinney with a goal. Dahlin with Bryson is like how pathologists put something strong smelling under their noses before doing an autopsy of a 7 day floater.
  7. Maybe it’s me, but is this sarcasm? How much money do these universities get taxed on their endowment or donations? Have you looked at how much university president (or head coaches!) make? Have you looked at the size of their broadcasting deals?
  8. So he can be the injured one? He knows when to Respect or be pnwed
  9. This is true, but they are both very streaky players. And right now, Vinnie is getting on the scoreboard and Oloffson is not. I understand Oloffson needs to play to become streaky, but I go with the hot hand here and that is Vinnie. They both suck in their own zone and at forecheck.
  10. I think it’s almost certain that Oloffson gets traded during the summer. The thing that I don’t quite understand is why he wasn’t moved at the deadline. His scoring touch could’ve easily netted a 1st and more. He would do a lot of damage on some of these teams. My guess is Adams didn’t want to strengthen an Eastern team, who were the ones going all in on trades. Or, maybe Adams didn’t want to deal with the optics of being a “seller”. If we ship Oloffson out, I would prefer a young defenseman coming back AND him going out West.
  11. This is correct. Unless we draft defensemen in the 1st round coming up, drafting isn’t going to fix our D problem. I would rather pick up real players.
  12. I think the narrative has changed. We are now playing for a playoff spot. JJP has had a whole year to acclimate. Either he can kick it up a gear, like he did during the Calder Cup playoffs last year, or he can sit and watch Hino do so. Either way, it’ll be a learning experience for him.
  13. Nah, I just think if Armstrong was a betting many, he’d bet on the Sabres. He’s a Sabres fan at heart.
  14. Hate is a strong word, but plenty people on here were perplexed with his acquisition.
  15. I was talking about Arizona taking less to move Chychrun. I guess having a player dictate your moves is another poor way to run a team. Giroux is 35. He won’t be seeing the Sens hoist a Cup. If anything, he should’ve been asked to be moved, but I doubt his contract would allow it.
  16. From the comment above, it looks like the Coyotes were demanding a player(s) coming back from the Sabres instead of draft picks. Adams didn’t blink and the Coyotes ended up taking less from Ottawa. Sucks for them. That isn’t a good way to built a team.
  17. The thing is, it probably doesn’t matter who you pair Dahlin with. Dahlin will be Dahlin. You pair Muel with Stillman, you have a shutdown pair that is physical.
