Again, don’t hate a team for being smart enough to know the rules. I wish the Sabres were run as well as Tampa has been for the past decade. Many of their players were seasoned in Syracuse.

Tampa didn’t cheat, they used the rules available for maximum benefit. I’d be upset if the Sabres were in the same position and didn’t do it. Blame the owners and NHLPA who agreed to such rules. I’ll be rooting for Tampa to beat Vegas in the finals.

Frank’s Sunny Italy in Buffalo. Big portions and everything’s good. I like Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, but it’s hard to get in to, and then your on top of each other inside, and service is sometimes slow. The Rochester location near the arena was more comfortable. For franchise restaurants it’s Texas Roadhouse. Best chili I’ve ever had.

Well 2 of the 3 teams I can’t stand lost; Edmonton and Toronto. Now we need Boston to lose.

It’s all because the North division had to play a week of regular season games after everyone else was done because Vancouver had so many games to make up due to Covid postponements. The league didn’t want to wait for them. So it’s continued into the playoffs.

I will say that once Granato took over they were at least entertaining, and I was interested in seeing the new kids play. But by then they already lost a lot of viewers who didn’t come back.

And in a year when due to Covid there wasn’t much else to do, that’s pretty bad.

They should use a middle round pick on the giant goalie son, Owen Parker.

That’s an example of why Crosby is the complete player that McDavid has yet to become. The kind of leader who gives his all to win Cups.

I’d say McDavid is the most skilled player, but for best player I also consider the intangibles of leadership and determination. For a playoff series I’d rank Crosby, Patrick Kane, and MacKinnon at the top.

Not if he only signs a 1 year contract. If Jake McCabe is resigned, he would be a better choice.

FYI, with the AHL Devils moving from Binghamton to Utica, there will still be hockey in Bham. The Binghamton Black Bears are joining the FPHL.

The only AHL playoffs will be in the Pacific division. Teams 4 through 7 compete in a single elimination, with the remaining team then playing 1st, and 2nd vs 3rd in a 3 game round. The 2 finalists will then play a 3 game final for the division title. All other divisions decided not to have a playoff tournament.

Missed the beginning due to connection problems. Did anyone ask if KA talked to the Pegulas about Eichel, and what their views are on his comments and medical wishes?

What holes? Most of the goals against were due to the mistakes in front of him, not his whiffing. I’d take him over Hutton.

I hope the find a spot for Houser in the organization. I wouldn’t mind him backing up Ullmark, but they probably won’t do it. Tokarski and UPL are the only goalies under contract, and they’re likely destined for Rochester, unless the Pegulas force Adams to play UPL on the Sabres.

I have the same sad and upset feelings I had when they wouldn’t agree on a contract with Michael Peca and traded him.

I’m very sad. Sounds like without surgery Jack thinks it could endanger his future quality of life, not just career.
