  1. It's kind of hard to describe. I guess the easiest way would be that it's a bunch of smaller forums hosted by a larger site. You can decide what forums (or subreddits) you want to subscribe to and their main stories will appear on your news feed.
  2. A lot of it on Reddit, some of it on facebook. The people who followed the first case remember what a terrible job he did they first time and were quick to jump on him. Not that any of it means anything, but it's out there and easily seen.
  3. Tim Graham seems to be coming under a lot of fire for releasing the story after the P. Kane debacle.
  4. I'm almost positive the same level headed people who left their opinions in limbo during the Patrick Kane case will do the same this time. The sensationalist will be quick to jump on E. Kane just like they did before. Heaven forbid you wait until there is a trial or anything to formulate an opinion. And for the racism part, since it appears you immediately have him pegged as guilty with literally no evidence out there, well, where there's smoke there's fire. As Eleven said, you're just being a dick.
  5. When searching for Pittsburgh Penguins arena atmosphere, this was the first link that came up-- http://www.pittsburghsportingnews.com/greiss-pens-arena-pretty-dead/28239 Searching for Detroit atmosphere, most things point to it being lousy and uninspiring, though I couldn't find any recent articles one way or the other. Columbus, Nashville and St. Louis all have great reviews for their arenas though both through fan-sites and in the press. Then again, the Cardinals have a great atmosphere at Busch so that don't surprise me. Columbus and Nashville both aren't traditional markets and go out of their way for the fan experience, which is highlighted when googling them. I'd rather not have the gimmicks personally, though I like the cannon in Columbus.
  6. Shooting fish in a barrel by using Montreal, but I agree.
  7. This was always my favorite non-hockey part of the game going as a kid. Then they replaced it with Sabretooth coming down from the rafters, which was designed for kids (assumption), and it bored the life out of me. I would definitely take the organ over watching that. If they want to do funny things on the jumbotron, do it like the Stars do. http://thehockeywriters.com/dallas-stars-jumbotron-10-greatest-hit/I think we could do without the viral memes, but they fans who are there for the entertainment would enjoy it (as they do in Dallas, it's often shown in highlight packages) and those who don't care don't have to be bothered by the nonsense. Soccer is often boring to people who don't understand the rules of the game or the nuances of play. Every time I hear the bolded, I think the same thing. That's not saying you don't understand hockey, just my thoughts on it though.
  8. I don't think I could disagree more.
  9. Woooooooo McGinn!
  10. Little bit of a cheer for Eichel there
  11. Eichel goal https://streamable.com/8v91
  12. Hit on Nylander for those who haven't seen it https://streamable.com/0rku
  13. DeBrincat might have to donate half of his first contract to Johnny Gaudreau, who had another hat trick tonight, if they both keep up their paces. It's good to see smaller guys succeeding in the NHL, though I don't think many more will be slipping to the fourth round. I might be talking out of my ass, but I can't think of a single of player who has had his draft stock rise so much from a guy who not only doesn't play on his team, but isn't even in the same league.
  14. I had this same thought the other day after someone made a comment (sarcastically) about Seguin having a coach who stifles offensive talent. I don't think if Lindy were coaching we would have gotten Reinhart and Eichel, as I think we would have probably squeaked out a few extra points over the years, but say we did then I would have to agree WildCard. I think that he would have us in a better position after next season than DD though. That's probably do to my own bias rather than anything I've seen.

Out of curiosity, if Moulson is bought out when will his contract come off of the books?
  16. Zack Greinke has said before that it's about who will pay him the most. Different sports/payrolls, but the honesty is refreshing. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/21767425/honest-greinke-who-admits-was-top-consideration-made-texas-offer-before-la-deal

Personally, unless we were getting another robbery of a deal like the Gaustad trade, I would keep McGinn and re-sign him. Obviously it's easier said than done, but I think he's going to be a great support player once the top six fills out. Not only that but he's still relatively young (27) and has some playoff experience.
  18. I'm all for it, especially behind the net. Goalies wouldn't be in any less of a risk if you removed pads in areas not covering body parts. There are plenty of pads that can be shrunk way down without the risk of injury. That's why you aren't hearing safety concerns from the goalies speaking to the media when asked about it. As far as sticks are concerned, it was always my understanding that limiting the curve of the blade was done out of safety concerns as it made shots much less predictable off of the stick.
  19. I'm not sure goalies would be down for the second half of that statement, but I think restricting covering the puck to the crease would have a good impact on scores.
  20. That's absolute insanity.
  21. Unless GMTM has spoken with Samson/ROR and they've agreed to play wing for the foreseeable future, I'm not sure this really works. Joey doesn't see like seem like the type of player who is okay moving to the wing, and his respond (or lack thereof) from playing LW earlier this year backs that up. He also dealt with some heart issues this summer that some speculate could still be affecting his play. With all of that being said, if he can be had cheap then I'm all for it and let the pieces fall into place afterwards.
  22. I usually love afternoon games, as I'm not usually in the area and like catching the games on TV. However, I'm going to this one and really wish it were at night.
  23. I think that's probably because you aren't the fan they need to make changes for. They aren't going to lose your views, so your input matters less, no matter how backwards that is.
  24. Additional props for footing the bill--yes. Losing props for someone footing the bill--no.
  25. Or 2. There's really no reason for his number to be retired at all.
