  1. Grigs is better than Strome?
  2. Good luck. If you do send some my way please and thank you
  3. I can’t believe I missed out on this show for the first 28 years of my life
  4. Never let your work define who you are
  5. Neil with Robie filling in on occasion until his car crash (?)
  6. Stevie Y was wearing a C in the video was he not?
  7. He should have retired when Jim Lorentz retired. Listening to those old broadcasts it’s JL who made them for me.
  8. I think more people agree with you than you think. People aren’t speaking up because they’re being talked down to or treated like idiots. The people pro-lockdown are far louder than the other crowd because the other crowd is afraid to speak out due to ridicule. It’s tyranny of the minority. No different than politics. It’s our life now in the age of social media.
  9. What kind of ants? Either way I would say just wash them off, they grow in the dirt anyway. But if they’re fire ants take extra precautions.
  10. Is anyone able to get contract information for the old players? Enough that we would be able to see % of total team salary? Would be fun to see how cap compliant this team ended up.
  11. I think if the Democratic Party has half a brain they will choose someone of the same ilk as Biden. I think is Democrats have half a brain they won’t complain and vote for that ticket regardless if it’s left enough. I’m much more certain of point A than point B. The progressive left does not seem to get the game.
  12. I would love to see the bolded be challenged in court. However, it’s highly unlikely it will be as Major League Baseball will have the backing of Congress to start its season sometime next month (thank god) As they should. Has anyone disagreed with this because I have not seen it if that’s the case. However, the precedence has been set that this does not need to be the case. Corporate welfare for all! Hooray! Isn’t that what Joe Public pays outlandish taxes for?
  13. Not to get to into it, just a friendly reminder to all involved that bailouts =/= free market capitalism and the fact that corporations (who are people by their very nature) have been bailed out in the past creates a belief in their mind that an internal safety net is not necessary when they have one in Uncle Sam.
  14. Hey, thanks! Awfully considerate of you. All the best to you as well and I echo your sentiments above to others.
  15. I think it’ll be something like Tage, a d prospect, and a 2nd. Hawks are hurting cap-wise, no?
  16. My first thought seeing this was good for you for being able to tolerate things asymmetrical. It really limits my speaker placement.
  17. Very familiar and truth be told, that’s where I was hoping you would say. Probably my favorite beach in NC, I hope you enjoy yourself!
  18. Ah I missed that. Thanks for clarifying.
  19. So you think that this compares to violent attacks on innocent people that led to multiple wars and thousands of Americans suffering violent deaths? To your Cuomo point, I agree and I think it’s ***** he said that. I’ve had pneumonia five times, MRSA, and swine flu. Illness is not a battle or a fight. It’s incredibly ***** ***** and debilitating and weakening, but it’s not a fight and it’s not even close to battle. I don’t understand why everything needs to be compared to war and violence. Can’t things just suck? The people making that comparison have no idea what they’re talking about.
  20. I’ll eat the occasional hard pretzel, but any time I see a soft pretzel on a menu I buy it. I’m not sure when I because a thing but for at least the last 7-8 years I’ve been eating soft pretzels every chance I get.
  21. If we aren’t afraid how will we cede our rights away?
  22. My energy bill doubled this month. I’m not running any more lights than usual, just have my workstation set-up and running during the day. Not great.
  23. I’ve been starting to see more and more articles related to long and short term concerns on our rights due to corona. Maybe the appropriate time to voice these would have been weeks ago? Or maybe people should always be watchful of their freedoms because they rivalry don’t come back.
  24. So we’ve had a thread with everyone posting their first post on the site, but what I’m most interested in is how everyone came to be a poster. I want to say it was Spring of 2007 and I was at the computer section of my high school library. Someone a few computers down was on the site and I peaked over their shoulder to see what they were looking at. Lo and behold they were on the forum. I went home later that day and started reading. It took me until Vanek was traded and a member only poll for me to make an account and a think a couple more years to post, but I’ve been here ever since. So, how did you become a member?
  25. The biggest thing for me about a no-fan option is making sure they have Gary Thorne available for commentary. Not only is he, in my opinion, the greatest announcer in all of sports, he’s also the most recent commentator to call a no-fan game and it was an absolute gem. As someone who watches a lot of baseball from a lot of teams, I think this was the last time I watched an Orioles game just to watch an Orioles game. https://youtu.be/72dxSi8yK54
