I suspect we are looking at this differently than Sabres management. We are assumming we are rolling traditonal center wing combos in 2/1 relationship. Maybe the approach they will be taking is akin to Bylsma’s pair approach but with three guys. That is find 3 guys who work well together and not worry about positions. If one is better on left dot draws, they take left dot draws etc. what I think they are going for is combos that can play at pace together and in sync. Thus not all the lines will be burners but will need to apply consistent pressure as a unit. This allows for dmen to push play and remain in the zone to press the issue while a forward rotates back. Sort of a perpetual power play. If we are trying to replace RORs production we are going to be disappointed unless we change the approach thus lessening the need that he more than adequately filled. Then again maybe they are all in for Hughes who knows. Tough day. New owners sent in the hatchett men and we lost a third of our people today. Good people too. Can’t sleep. Maybe another walk around the park.

I have seen projections of EROD in the top 6. He is at best a 4th line player. When it comes time to match physicality and grind with other 4th lines he is conspicuously lacking. Nelson is a nice unexpected find for the 7/8th dman so I don't think it is a "because buffalo" thing. Erod is not that good at the things we need him to be good at. He is not a top 6 player. Again, the question was asked and this is JMHO.

Erod. AHLer at best. He will be exposed as such if put in any meaningful situations.

Know what you mean. I spend hours turning over rocks just because. I love the abilty to unplug yet be tuned in to the river. I love flowing water. Keep it up and Inlook forward to more patterns. Mine are much more crude but effective. Presentation is still important.

I caught about 15 or so games. They play the Blues games when the Hawks and Bulls are idle and need to fill time on my cable package and I have the NHL.tv racket. Berglund is a better Larsson. He is better offensively and defensively but not a huge leap. Think Sabres Legwand. Sobotka is Stafford like inconsistent. Shows flashes of his former self but is unnoticeable for long stretches. Berglund did have a monster game against the Preds in March(?) not so much on the score sheet but on driving possession and play. If he plays like that all the time he is a 20-25 goal scorer. He doesn't set people up though. Its weird in that he will drive the play and make a pass that goes to three others and in. No assist, but make no mistake he was the catalyst. In other games I watched he was JAG.

A fly is supposed to mimic natural food sources or cause a reactive strike by an engaged fish. Some of the best days flyfishing have been in the glades for snook and the keys for tarpon. It is a wonderful pastime and can be totally immersive. I sold all my traditional tackle 25 years ago and never looked back. On the occassional days when I want to fish deepwater I rent gear. Otherwise I pretty much use a fly rod. The fun part of this method to me is the requirement to stop and take stock of the surroundings and think like your quarry. Where would I hold, what would I be preying on etc. And when you catch a hatch just right it is awesome.
