  1. Pecan Subban will be at Ben and Jerry’s in time for the playoffs.
  2. And a grocery clerk when he got the call.
  3. Speed is fun in just about all sports. Especially hockey.
  4. They are only locked in if they choose to be. Reload to maintain your position for next year while adding more guys for your system. They liked McCarron for some reason, and the run heavy system is manageable one more year. I think trading TT before you have a guy was short sighted but they can walk away if their guys is not available. Or not. They may pick someone no one ever considered and tell everyone he was the guy all along.
  5. #1 Cle QB #2 NYG QB #3 NYJ QB #4 Cle Trade out for picks #5 Den QB That is how I see it falling. So at 12 a good player will have fallen. Assume someone behind us wants that player, I would trade back with the condition that it will take 2019 firsts as part of the price. Theoretically we could trade down and accumulate 2019 firsts while still acquiring solid talent in this draft. Sort of the Belicheat model. I like Rosen. Darnold a bit less. Allen not as a first rounder. Mayfield screams psycho to me. And the rest are solid athletes but not franchise altering players. Interesting to see if Bills play long game or push all in.
  6. If your Polish, but yeah it’s Columbus day on steroids.
  7. Damn, just read the last paragraph and was ready to pounce! ;) I will point out that there is a difference between skating speed and playing speed. Kaner, largely due to lateral agility and other worldly hands, plays at a speed few can match. Ditto for Toews and surprisingly Hossa. Keith is the guy you left off the list that added speed from the blue line. Sharp was a very fast player and so were guys like Bickell and Burrish though complementary pieces. I think we will have enough players to add playing speed to the lineup like Baptiste, Nylander Casey etc. Where the Hawks were good at finding were fast complementary pieces that were also physical. Not LA Kings physical, but who would finish checks relentlessly causing turnovers to ignite the transition. That I see as a hole in our roster and pipeline. It also needs emphasis from the top down.
  8. Its a great lakes thing. Detroit Cleveland, Buffalo, Milwaukee, Chicago all have bar league nights. It was a big thing in college.
  9. We should pin this Danny O’Malley thread.
  10. I thought there was a freeze on roster moves during the playoffs but I won’t argue.
  11. I thought his favorite number was 11. I say let him have it. Gilbert would approve.
  12. Depends on what he wants. But generally I agree. The point is he is a UFA and can’t be tendered.
  13. He is a class VI ufa sporttrac is wrong. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/casey-nelson
  14. Hmmmm...perplexing. We will get our best man on it.
  15. Gudreau, Point, PKane, Keller and others have shown that size isn’t absolutely a must. Provided you have the wheels. I hope he has the wheels at the NHL level to not get killed and contribute.
  16. I don’t think there is enough time for the Swedes, league ends around the 10th and some are in playooff position. If UM misses the NCAAs CM is a possibility but without Eichel in the lineup he will have no protection. Borgen is a possibility if the deal is to burn a year of the elc, but that doesn’t mean we will actually see him, see Antipin, Victor. With two goalies Ulmark stays down. DOR will get a cameo for pr purposes. I suspect that we will see a waiver move and gulp even Moulson called up to protect the Amerks. But if Baptiste sits for Nolan or is buried on the 4th line we are never going to see his ceiling only his floor.
  17. Nelson is a UFA no qualifying involved. Pay him or he shops his services. Also you are not qualifying Reinhart. 3,5 to 4 over 3 years is ball park.
