Alright since I have no dog in this fight and am ecstatic Jack is coming, I would like to throw this out in my best impression of PA. The lottery fix talk died when Edmonton got the golden ticket. Everyone said the NHL is burying its finest star in a wasteland. But the Rogers deal was a boon to NHL owners and with exclusive control of hockey north of the border, a quid pro quo was due. McD as an Oiler significantly boosts the value of the Rogers deal. He is in the mountain time zone, so the east withthe exception of the maritimes can still watch and while, McD might not be a regular on NBC, they don't pay attention until after the Football season ends. Edmund Burke posited that "Americans are an odd lot, they sniff tyranny on every tainted breeze." There is an odor around this. hey now, hey now

More like ruining the trade value of the pick, but yeah I almost ruined a good tv.

And they lost to McDavid Strome in the conference semis. I think Strome or Hanifin. They could use both.

And Risto

Beyond good to me is Conn Smythe winner. One of the two has to be a natural born killer when it comes to big games. My hope is that both are.

Sam and Jack need to become the players scouts have projected. Sam smart solid all round game with scoring skill who raises the play of of those around him. Jack needs to score and be threat every time hit steps on the ice. If they both do that, the job of putting in the remaining pieces gets a lot easier. They both need to more than just good.

Really? I have much higher expectations. Couture is a nice player, but Eich has a higher ceiling which I expect him to reach.

That about sums it up for me.

I didn't watch. Was on my way home from a fishing trip and heard a sports update. I thought to myself, Eichel great, oh I need gas. I think Murray may have been more disappointed initially than I was but that presser confirms he's where I am now. 1 and 1A. Welcome aboard Jack.

Fingers crossed. I still think the Bolts are too deep.

I would love to have Datsyuk, on my team, even at this age. What a player.

Knock it off all of you. This is Tokyo Rose all over again. Stand togethor. A house divided....

All draft picks lose value as currency after this year due to the inherent uncertainty of the random draw for the top 4. You cant assign a value with any reasonable certainty to the unknown quantity.

Understood, and no offense intended.

The most significant thing to come out of this, IMHO, is the expectation of a better quality experience going forward. The fans collectively said either "were in" or "I reserve judgment", but now they all expect that any subsequent actions will be about winning it all. The balkanization of the fan base during theses two seasons was largely a result of unmet expectations. Some felt a black/blue lunch pail gang would meet their expectations. Others wanted star laden squads. Whatever side you were on, I believe is irrelevant in that the collective expectation is that we will be able to do and or be both and there are no excuses for not being committed to winning.

This one...it's like a GDT.

Yeah I guess I swallowed the hook, but they don't even look playoff worthy. Darling is on fire

Kane looks rusty. That will wear off, but Nashville is the aggressor no doubt about it. The Caps look atrocious.

Listened to Vin Scully do a game on MLB network. Solo, at his age and a voice like a Stradivarius. Fekkin garjus.
