The NL definitely lends itself to the stud pitcher theory more. Saunders was awesome for the O's in 2012, but really only a stud in the WC game and not really the season.

This one game playoff really rewards the team with the stud pitcher. That's why I think the Cubs win tomorrow. Long season to go through just to go one and done to one of the best pitchers in the league.

Oh and he only expanded Medicaid because he's smart enough to realize how much money that meant to Ohio's public and private healthcare system. The underlying reason was corporatism, not concern for the poor.

Ok, please slow down a bit. The ONLY thing the guy has done to help the poor is that he has expanded Medicaid in Ohio. He has also: 1. Signed "tax cuts" that give huge cuts to the top earners and INCREASED taxes on the poor. 2. Has privatized many prisons, hurting the poor who tend to occupy them. 3. Has signed many abortion restrictions, cutting access in Ohio by a large amount (hurting poor women) 4. Has busted and/or tried to bust unions that help the poor working classes 5. Has championed the documented crooked charter school system and keeps expanding it despite it failing and being crooked (hurting the poor that mostly use charter schools in inner cities) There's alot more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. The guy is a hypocrite and covering up all the harm he has done to the poor in Ohio. He is as far right as anyone except on the Medicaid and immigration fronts. And he's polling at 3% anyway.

I thought FTWD was ok and got better as the (very short) season went on. I started out hating Maddie, but like her now (Probably after the Treme wore off. I had just finished watching that show and the actress was a big part of it). Travis annoys the crap out of me though. He takes naivete to a whole new level. The last episode was good, except for the fact that bites seem to be able to have different effect periods depending on how much time they need to wrap up a storyline ;) I'm likely never to like Nick much, but his new friend seems like he'll be a promising and mysterious new storyline.

Schwartz turned down the Dolphins offer to be their D Coordinator.
