  1. That's right Rob. Show, don't tell! Let's write a victorious screenplay tonight.
  2. We got this. They're a warm-weather team unaccustomed to the snow.
  3. For being a one-goal game the entire third period... that was pretty dull. Well, on to the next one.
  4. Alright, I logged in just in time for a Philly goal. Time for a comeback!
  5. We just need to string a few sixteen wins together and we're right back in it. 94.
  6. I heartily agree with you, sir. (or madam, but it's a quote) It was fun watching them take on the best lines in the business night in and night out, and finish with a + to boot.
  7. How will the Emperor maintain control without the bureaucratic ######? Fear will keep the Senators in line. Fear of this battle Sabre.
  8. Uffda. Risto and Lehner combine for the 3-on-3 screen shot from the blue line.
  9. Final 30 seconds, play this one better, Jack 3 on 2 --- at least get the puck into the zone... c'mon, O'Reilly.
  10. I was over in the kitchen slicing veggies for dinner and it sounds like we've started the third in Remember-the-Death-Star mode.
  11. Nice kick there. I was hoping to get out of that period 3-1, but 2-1 will do for now.
  12. Yeah... There was one really really egregious block by... Keith? out by his own blueline that allow them to clear the zone. The refs are letting a lot of those go tonight.
  13. I understand that he's only on for the final 30 seconds so when we end the PK he can do a rush... but yeah, if he's going to PK he's got to play the kill better than that. Is it just me or are we hitting a bit harder/engaging in the physical game more tonight than we have been recently?
  14. Seattle has the cash. TL;DR It's one of the fastest-growing cities in the country (and already a large market - much larger than Quebec, KC, and OKC). Across the lake, Bellevue is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Mircosoft, Amazon. Boeing is still big for the time-being. And many of us transplants (although I've been here 20 years, I'm not entirely grouping myself with us) are from hockey areas. Plus Vancouver is close. The NHL wants us for our money. The Seattle sports scene in general (not me, I'm indifferent) wants the NHL for the availability to get back into the NBA. Seattle proper wants to revitalize the Seattle Center (Space Needle) area. Key Arena is currently hosting the WNBA and until a couple years ago one of the main tenants was the local roller derby league (which I think is great -- hey, they were using the venue -- but the city wanted something with more economic pull).
  15. As a Seattleite, this is nice news. It's taken forever... and they should put the stadium down with the other stadiums in the SoDo district. But -- the port is against it, and KeyArena/Seattle Center needs the multi-team modern event venue to spruce up the area. What I'm fearful of are Seattle fans doing their whole "we have to be loud because we think that's the only way fans can show support" schtick. Hockey is the most beautiful-sounding of major sports, and it'd be a shame to miss it. I'll still go to Vancouver for my annual Sabres game -- because Vancouver. This is still a long way out.
  16. Was this one of shops where they stopped selling French fries and called them American fries? And really the cheese was just re-named "American double cream" instead of brie? I always look at the disheartening cheese tastes of others as the opportunity for myself to further clog the arteries of my own heart. Enheartening cheese, as it were. Turkey sandwich though... so many good options. Cheddar? Classic. Swiss? Just a hint of sharp to go with the mildness and tryptophan. Muenster, havarti. Smoked gouda and turkey? That's some good stuff right there. Your cheese should be the backbone; nay, the calling card, of your turkey sandwich. There's nothing more in-your-face-American than that.
  17. It's true. Apparently, Swedish Google Translate isn't a fan of Star Wars. But all the same... And Darth makes Aunt Beru sad. So it all works.
  18. More of that, please. For the rest of the season. And nice effort by Eichel for the empty-netter. Overall he had a solid, engaged game.
  19. Control, control... we must learn control. Oh Okposo, so close and so far.
