Once the game slows down and Cozens is able to get the puck out of his own zone just inside the blue line (either winning a wall battle, or popping pass out to a breaking forward, or chipping off the glass) he's going to be very good all around.

Yup. Hall's was lazy. Staal was trying to battle after losing a race but needs to know not to take a penalty in the offensive zone and just head out on the backcheck. Do that and we're likely still up 1-0. Must finish strong. Lazar, Olofsson, let's close it up. We're going in. We're going in full throttle.

They took an o-zone faceoff together and skated maybe 30-ish before a line change. The next regular shift Thompson was back on the line.

All this Staal to say: I think we're much better with him as 2C vs. MoJo. Certainly better for Cozens.

They're so desperate to get something out of the ROR trade. But desperation doesn't make a good GM.
