This team needs a Miles Wood-type player (is Lazar our closest thing to anyone agitating but with follow-up? Because Skinner can be agitating but doesn't actually play with an edge). And that Wood-type probably needs to replace Okposo.

I don't know. I'd like to think that Johnsson is entitled to the space he's currently occupying on the ice. Hall was trying to step around him but let up. Good drawing the penalty, but I'd rather that interference looks more egregious and attempted.

On the one hand, it's good when they support each other and help get/regain the puck. On the other, it's entirely infuriating when they get the puck and then can't do anything with it because there's nowhere to move the puck to.

On an unrelated (or semi-related note as I won't turn the game audio on until it completes), but the track "1983 (A Merman I Should Turn to Be)" is a long track.

Good to see Joker back. Hopefully, splitting Hall and Eichel will help both top lines get going. But losing Reino is tough if Thompson continues to be mostly invisible as he was early in the season (when on the top line).

Central is still the best. Games start at noon like an old-time movie standoff (or... just like High Noon). And a late game takes you just to bedtime. It definitely took some getting used to... but now I kind of like it. All the main sports are over and there's still time in the day to unwind. Local news after the game except on the West coast.... And as I'm more an early bird anyway, the morning games are a fun twist and there's still a whole day left afterward to enjoy. The Concept of... and The Ehrhoff will be with us. Always.

Blackwood just took over Eichel in OT. Bummer. Nice finish for the Rangers in a game they deserved. That's bad for the standing for us. Instead of getting 4-1 in points, we finish 3-3.

As ever, as Seattle-area Sabres fan... how on Earth Alderaan are the Sabres going to convince Skinner to waive his NMC, and convince Seattle to take his 50-year, $9M contract? It's Borgen almost guaranteed, unless Seattle just signs Halls as a UFA outright. But Skinner? No way. Whaaaaa? No way. He's gotta be at least, what, 34? He's been a punk for years and years and years now.
