  1. Notice the difference in GDT conversations when the team actually plays real hockey.
  2. Sabres keeping FLA to the perimeter. FLA not responding well to the physical game.
  3. He plays the gritty game and showing it pays off. It’s nice to finally have a good third and fourth line.
  4. Ruff really wants this. Shortening the bench to go with talent.
  5. Knight is about two more from getting the good night.
  6. They gotta move their feet and bodies. It’s the same little boxes they all stay in. PK is not going to get sucked in to open lanes.
  7. Power has played a lot more of a structured game. He and Byram are clicking.
  8. Byram has bought into the Ruff way. He hustled back and stole the puck. Way to not give up.
  9. What’s slower, Thompson’s speed or his shot of late?
  10. And this is how you get a job as the video review guy. Good catch!
  11. Dahlin and Power saying “this is not the defense your looking for.”
  12. Lafferty. Sabres going with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen.
  13. Maybe this is the start of a 10 game streak where the “big guns” go on tear. Dont laugh please.
  14. Cozens: Promising but gets a beating from Hathaway and hasn’t been the same since. Thompson: Borderline garbage then pops off as an offensive juggernaut. Cools off and almost irrelevant to start the season. Dahlin: Good then bad then awesome. Starts the season as the Thompson of defensemen. Tuch: Good on PK. More of a groundhog player. Hibernates then does something then goes back to sleep. Muel: Has a last name and that’s about all. Peterka: Steadily developed into an offensive asset. Quinn: Very promising between injuries. See Thompson and Dahlin to start the season. Power: Didn’t like him, can’t imagine not having him now. More reserved when joining the rush. Looks more structured in his game. UPL/Levi: Great to have. Both developed into assets and the tandem inspires confidence at the position. Overall: Some bright spots. Mostly inconsistent players. Two top six forwards and one top four dman are needed. All would be expensive. I think there is a misplaced confidence in some of the aforementioned players to do what would be necessary.
