  1. Meanwhile Jordan Staal just carried the puck in a 2-on-1 and did nothing with it. Defender played it well cutting off the pass and gave him only a small window to shoot ... and he decided to do neither. Puck just fluttered into the boards.
  2. There have been multiple weird calls to get the Bruins out of going a man down here.
  3. I’d still need a couple prospects/picks thrown in there but Boston is my least favorite Jack destination for obvious reasons.
  4. I’m interested to know if the NHL has laid out what the penalties would be if we failed to fulfill the requirements.
  5. I still fully endorse trading Jack then extending Samson and giving him the C if it’s what he wants. If he won’t commit more than a year I’m trading him now.
  6. Newhook and Zary are not in the same conversation as Byfield/Zegras.
  7. What about his track record turns you off? Three Stanley Cups to his name as a front office leader. Hockey Hall of Famer. Extensive experience as a player in the league.
  8. Charleston Chew wasn't mentioned on either list and I refuse to degrade the greatest sugary concoction in world history to the "other" category so I abstain from voting and yield my time.
  9. He’s the one you can point to pretty easily, though. He’s in charge of the whole league so inconsistencies fall on him.
  10. I would in no way say hockey is “more” of a team effort. They’re both extremely reliant on team efforts but in very different ways so the comparison still fails.
  11. The best part of trading a player is that you get things in return. The second best part is that you can replace what that player does that you like by bringing in players through other transactions. It's not delusional to think Risto should be traded. It's delusional to think if he goes that means they'll never be able to find "grit" by other means.
  12. That’s a strong word for a lot of sensible people on this board and off who have wanted him dealt. Couple that with the very real concern over his contract situation and his history of deplorable fancy stats and you realize there’s nothing delusional about your comrades here. Your stance on this roster seems to be that nobody should be traded which I might consider delusional considering the results.
  13. No interest in a deal with Minnesota. They don’t have the pieces. Even if Eriksson-Ek were on the table.
  14. I imagine anyone we discuss is discussed in terms of being a potential Sabres target and if people like him it’d make sense to consider him.
  15. Did we not learn enough from our last Jack!? (Haven’t done much research on him but Jack Peart is actually a really good hockey name)
  16. Fun team to watch, too. If they could find a star to add to this current roster they’d contend.
  17. I think it’s a game of semantics. He doesn’t have to explicitly ask for a trade for it to be obvious he wants to be traded.
  18. Did someone suggest that? I haven’t seen it.
  19. There are definitely more critical fanbases. The Sabres might be in the top 15/20 but they’re definitely not competing with some fanbases.
  20. Stamkos played most of last year, as well. He’s just been hurt during parts of the last two seasons.
  21. Right but Stamkos played most of the season. They had Kucherov sit out all year on LTIR to circumvent the cap and brought him back for the playoffs.
  22. Nikita Kucherov returns for the Lightning game 1. Wild that they pulled that off. They already do this they just don’t share it with fans.
  23. One of the big talking heads on TSN was going through teams and saying the Kings wouldn’t offer up Byfield but then said you could get “Zegras, Drysdale and picks” from Anaheim which I thought was interesting.
  24. Glen Sather is still around and Drury does have more hockey experience than Adam’s, for the record.
