Definitely. A unique player and guy. I kind of always liked him. Certainly made some dirty mistakes but it often felt like a guy on the edge vs a guy purposely going over it.

I think people leave him out because he’s so hated that it’s hard to make the “you’d want him in Buffalo argument” lol. Which shows you how terrible of a dude he is because he’s the best of that group.

Yes. That would be crazy to say. Good thing nobody I’ve seen has even come to close to saying that. Nobody has the ability to watch live and say this. Nobody. Also, this only works as a defense if you’re willing to accept a QB who can’t make tough throws or “throw his guys open.” Allen may someday be able to do this but if what you’re saying turns out to be true that there was never an open receiver then it’s still not a good look.

Everyone always says this but I legit have ZERO interest in having any of those guys on my team. I would’ve enjoyed Chara in his prime but I’ve never really considered him near what the other guys are. He’s just giant so it’s a little harder to avoid certain hits.

I’m concerned about Allen’s play today. He had time early and missed wide open receivers. The long Benjamin catch should’ve been a TD because there was nobody between him and the end zone but instead of putting touch on it he rocketed it straight at him. The second INT was the third time (once in preseason) where he’s made an unforgivably bad decision under pressure. All coachable and I think he’s got the talent and mindset to get it done but he was just as bad as anyone on the field today.

Earl Thomas, who sat out the preseason and some practices as he wants a trade or contract, just suffered likely a season-ending injury.

So Tennyson was waived but hasn’t been immediately sent down. Imagine that. ?

Allen was absolutely terrible today. Got some time in the first quarter and just missed everything. That or just panicked into a sack/throwaway.

Happens a couple times of season off the top of my head. Likely more since I don’t really stare at the waiver wire too often. I’m not saying it’s likely. I’m just saying it’s possible.

Looks like each of the top four picks in this year’s draft will start with their big club. Dahlin here. Svechnikov in Carolin. Kotkaniemi in Montreal. Tkachuk in Ottawa. Five other guys still in their team’s camps but not expected to stick around.

They’ve just been waived. Doesn’t mean they need to be sent down. Die By the Blade is just a blog. It’s not a reputable source. They’re just speculating that they’ve been waived to be sent down. I would assume that’s the case but they don’t need to be sent down. Gives you flexibility or they may have thought they’re more likely to sneak them through waivers today vs another later date.

Bailey, Baptiste and Tennyson haven’t been sent down yet so let’s not pen them out just yet.
