I’m having incredible deja vu on the exact wording of this thread, but yes. His goal calls this game have been confusing. The call on Skinner’s first goal was one of the worst I’ve ever heard. He just kept talking about the delayed penalty then nonchalantly mentioned Skinner had scored like seven seconds after it happened.

They shouldn’t need PR people, their agents should now be taking care of this stuff. I think Eichel should issue a simple apology and explain briefly why this was just a poor joke from a young, stupid kid and we all move on.

Episode 5 (The Bent-Neck Lady) and Episode 6 (Two Storms) are two of the very best episodes of television I’ve ever watched. And to have them back to back like that, I’ve only ever seen the drama and significant differences from one story to the next done so well in Mr. Robot. Nell’s story is really beautiful and unique. Also, the show 100% triggered sleep paralysis issues with me. It’s sonething I’ve had since college. I normally get it a couple times a month but in the days after seeing Nell struggle with it (pretty accurately portrayed aside from some minor differences that could be explained by the different ways people experience these things) I had it for four out of five nights including one night where I had several as I tried to fall asleep.

I know expectations were on things but Montreal and Vancouver are a combined 17-10-2 for 36 points in 29 games. I don’t know how long they sustain that success but worth noting when calling anything “easy” for a team that’s struggled to get out of the basement. We’re in a stretch right now where we’ve given away some big points and could risk falling into a big hole on a season that was off to a promising start.

Here’s how I feel: it looks terrible. I think there are more than a handful of teams and players are the league who have done and said the same. Again: I imagine he wasn’t the targeted prospect. I’m sure they targeted Kyrou and Thomas and even others. I imagine they we would feel just as annoyed with the alternatives. The question becomes whether or not Botterill should’ve made the deal if TT was the best he could get, not why was TT targeted. That’s a question I legitimately don’t think we’ll ever really know the true factors of but it’s a discussion we can and should continue having.
