Felt like Sheary needed to get in on this party. Started hot then got off Eichel’s line and has had a rough go since. A lot of sloppy play on the puck for him so it’s good to see him pot one in this party.

Skinner - Eichel - Pominville have all been dynamic. I don’t want to abandon that line the second there’s a mini-slump either. I’d be open to swapping Pominville & Reinhart eventually. Keep Skinner without Eichel and get him to re-sign.

Knew there would be a lot of ups and downs but boy it was a quick down after a pretty high high.

Eichel has made a few passes tonight that make zero sense. Just there he was pinched in the neutral zone and passed it right to a guy who was in the same crowded spot as him instead of moving it to open ice. It’s a small and mostly harmless play but have to make the easy decisions to turn a game like this around.

I LOVE Jason Pominville and agree with this. He seems like the type that knows where he’s at but this is a business. I don’t think he’d have a robust market regardless. I have loved his play this year. If he shows he can do this all year I would absolutely welcome him back on a one year deal. I’d give him two years if I knew it was going to be a very cheap deal that’d be easy to bury or release.

Ottawa has been better than most expected. That said, 6-2 good guys.
