The Sabres have allowed far too many non-NHL quality goals this year and it's cost us a few games so far. They better figure it out. Hopefully UPL isn't one of those guys who got paid and now sits back and relaxes after playing for a new contract last year. Levi is still is the same...very inconsistent from one game to the next. He has a high ceiling but his floor is too low currently.

Yes those stretch passes from his own end past the red line that spring odd man rushes and goal chances. Has been exceptional at those since his rookie year...dipped a little last year but still was very good overall.

Things are starting to come together it seems like... I think by mid season this team could really start finding it's groove if they can keep building and get the special teams at least middle of the road. Looking forward to getting NAK back in the lineup as well, I think he adds more toughness and physicality we have been missing and can help shut down other teams top lines defensively.

Only 1.5 more months til Bandits season starts and we can witness what it looks like to hang a championship banner --- again! 🙂

Good...this team needs to not take crap from anyone at anytime. That's how you begin to build habits...not just in the games, but in practice as well. They secretly loved it...about time they played like they actually care and build habits that will lead over to the games.

They need to stop actively trying to not score goals and fix their PP. Scoring 1 goal is going to lose 95% of the time in the NHL.

Expecting it to take some time for the players to stop thinking so much about what Ruff wants them to do and where he wants them to be on the ice in various situations and start playing freely without having to think. Obviously the offense or lack there of is concerning as well as the PP, but hopefully that kind of goes together with the point up top. Granato didn't seem very technically oriented, he gave them more of a "go play" type of system, which ALMOST worked the first year, but there were clear issues with it if this team wants to become anything more than a fringe playoff team. Granato did not do a good enough job implementing a system last year and that is where Ruff should succeed where he failed...Ruff is a very sound coach in terms of playing style and systems.

The most damage isn't done by the wind speeds necessarily, it's done by the storm surge and as all the storm wall/sand bag protections that were in place have already been destroyed by Helene, there is nothing left to protect from another massive storm surge so close behind it. So even if it misses slightly in one direction or another, in general that whole area is f**ked.

Tampa Bay is f**ked. Milton exploded to a Cat 3, then 2 hours later a Cat 4, and is going to be a Cat 5 within a short time as it currently has 155 mph winds and is only 2 mph short of Cat 5 strength now. All I can say is...good luck. Anyone who decides to stay, make sure to write your next of kin with permanent marker on your forearm so they can be notified.
