Did not realize Stamkos, Kucherov and Point were stapled to the bench in the 3rd period of our game... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nhl-lightning-bench-stamkos-kucherov-point-3rd-period-vs-sabres-235315361.html Apparently whatever message was being sent didn't get received as they got blasted 6-0 by the Hurricanes.

7, you can cross the Wings off that list, they are imploding since they dumped several key players.

Red Wings are floundering...lost 6 in a row now.

But nonetheless true.

We traded the extra one we had...we still have our own and it will be a higher pick than the one we traded most likely. He wasn't trying to push full steam ahead this year. That's where people seem to have a disconnect with what they "think" he should have done versus what he actually said he was going to do. I'll defer to the person who won a Cup. That wouldn't be you, FYI.

You aren't lying...but at least I got to learn about the intricacies of what Ray and one of the trainers talk about on the flights regarding the various types of Ketchup Chips and how some have much better coverage on the chip than others...SMFH. Literally went on and on about it for like 5-6 minutes... And for the record Herr has the best Ketchup Chips bar nobody.

Sabres trade Anders Bjork to Chicago for AHL Center Carson Gicewicz

What's he going to do now that he can't drive 30 minutes north from Rockford over the Wisconsin border to get his cheese curd fix?? -
Interesting Detroit is a fire sale at the deadline...then they overpaid for Larkin on a LTE. IMO Cozens >>> Larkin, or at least will be when they are at similar stages of their careers.

It's why I always watch the opposing teams broadcast...added bonus is that I get shot totals too on screen...novel concept for the Sabres I know...must cost someone a few hundred bucks to code it so they can't afford it. Unfortunately when I am in the car I am forced to listen to the radio...and have no clue what the score is for long stretches of the time.

GDT: Buffalo Sabres @ Boston Bruins 3/2/2023 MSG 7 PM

Pretty much what I expected tonight. They beat them once at home didn't expect it to happen again...Boston is on another planet from every other team in the NHL this year. Sabres were going to be up against it with a full lineup...gave them virtually no chance with 2 of their best players out. -

That still doesn't say...was the asking price of the Sabres the same as it was of the Sens? I'd bet not, and they wanted a prospect rather than one of those picks and KA wasn't going for it. With the Sens, the Coyotes can't ask for what they don't have.
-
They likely wanted a prospect Adams wasn't budging on. Teams are going to ask for different things from different teams. Ottawa's prospect pool is pretty bare so basically all they had to offer were picks.

His loss, this is a cup contending team in 3 years. -

They aren't getting a goalie at the deadline.

Yesterday listening to the radio might have been the worst Sabres broadcast I ever heard, especially in the 2nd period...you literally had no idea what was going on for chunks of time because Ray and Dunleavy were talking about something completely unrelated to what was happening while the play was going on. Not sure what was worse, the Sabres play in that game or the radio broadcast...they were both brutal and unacceptable. I was actually wondering if they were high or drunk or something because it was so much worse than what it normally is...just rambling on about nothingness.
-
They SHOULD, but I am not sure...they play the toughest remaining schedule in the NHL and while they are really good at catching up to teams by putting together winning streaks, they seem to puke all over themselves when they actually catch up to those teams and are in position to pass them. It's like when there is no pressure and they are just playing to try and catch up they are really good, but once the pressure is on and they put themselves in position to actually pass them and enter a playoff position, they fall flat on their face with some of the worst, most uninspired hockey you could ask for...happened 3 or 4 times now...almost like they WANT to fall behind again so they can have fun chasing.

Toronto's goaltending is just fine...Samsonov has a 2.30 GAA and .918 save percentage.
