OK...that might have been an even worse goal Montreal's goalie just allowed so we are even.

I mean the goals we give up are not even ECHL quality half the time. It's gotta be so frustrating for the team. Work so hard to win games and then have your goalie unable to stop anything...literally the only answer for the Sabres is to not let teams get any shots on goal...no shots are safe.

Honestly starting to wonder if the pressure of knowing you have to score 5 goals every game to have a realistic chance of winning ended up wearing the team down. After seeing the D and goaltenders falter so many times it has to be mentally frustrating and probably exhausting over a long season when the same thing happens over and over again... Sabres make these amazing, Harlem Globetrotter like plays to score goals, the other team basically just shoot from anywhere and there is a good chance it's going to go in at least once or twice a game.

I am assuming Canisius got blasted in the first round?

Bandits seem to be playing a lot of close games this year and some lower scoring ones too...seem to be less explosive offensively than in years past.

That's what is so frustrating. They can...just like they did in the game against Winnipeg when they made them look like a high school team that couldn't even get in over our blue line for 55 minutes and had like 14 shots on goal, but too often they simply don't.

They played a very solid road game. Defensively they gave up not a lot and Comrie was good when he needed to be. Easily could have won 3 or 4-0 today. I was waiting on the normal unmarked guy in front of the net or the typical odd man rushes but it never materialized. Now they need to work on playing that way consistently night in and night out not just once in a while.

It's really remarkable the Sabres have still not lost in regulation when leading after 2 periods with how atrocious they have played many times in the 3rd with 2+ goal leads.

Imagine the Hartford Whalers goal song coming on...Brass Bonanza...best goal song ever.

Who cares. The Sabres had their chance this year and they choked it away.

Of course after they lose so much they are out of the playoffs they can play loosey goosey again with no pressure and go back to highlight reel plays. SMH at this team.

They were far better at working hard to catch a team for a playoff spot than at holding onto one once they got it. Literally it was like they looked around at each other and were like "Guys we are in a playoff spot, what do we do?" And they kind of all looked around and shrugged their shoulders and ever since their play has been done the toilet. I mean even going back to right after the all star break they had a few chances to put themselves in a playoff spot by winning and they completely imploded...every single time they had the chance. I don't think it is a coincidence.

Lafreniere has basically not improved at all over last year statistically and is looking a lot more like Girgensons than Eichel right now. Low 30 points totals and 15-20 goals isn't going to cut it for what he was supposed to be. It's his 3rd season too so he has had plenty of time to show a lot more than what he has on a really good team. Eichel's first 3 seasons were 56, 57 and 64 points with 24+ goals in all of them. Lafraniere's first 3 are 21,31 and 32(so far), with his high in goals being 19 last year. The other years have been 12 and 14(so far). Zemgus' first 3 were 22, 30 and 18. He is a long way from Eichel's level his first 3 years, he just simply isn't very good. Kind of embarassing for how highly he was touted.

I said 87-90 points and that was pretty much on point until this crazy implosion towards the end of the year.

The NFL literally prints money and all of the players salaries are paid for with TV dollars. Bonuses are paid up front from the owner but almost all other play salary expenses are covered. That's why NFL teams have no issues spending. The NHL loses money for many teams.
