Ehh...I don't think so...LaFontaine, Mogilny and Andreychuk was something out of this world in '92-93... Lafontaine had 40 points after 18 games and 100 by his 55th game... Goal totals for the line mates that year? LaFontaine 53, Andreychuck 54, Mogilny 76 But that's not taking anything away from these guys, they are fantastic...a little bit of a different era back then but those numbers were prodigious even back then... Those 3 accounted for 54.6%(183) of the Sabres' 335 goals that year. The Eichel/Skinner/Samson line has accounted for 43.8%(43) of the teams 105 goals this year... In 1992-1993 they also played 84 games

I dunno about that, but I know he is turning into a great 2 way player and has really picked his game up the past 6 or 7 games...he's been downright dominant

Mittlestadt might be green but he has more talent in the toe of his right skate blade than Berglund has ever had... Really bad look by a guy on a team that is winning and playing relatively well.

I had a similar situation a while back...after 3 weeks I basically figured I didn't get it, but then after 2 more weeks they called me and told me they wanted to offer me the position...lots of approvals, etc were needed or something...either way I took the job.

That was an absolute rocket by Matthews...I dont know if there is a goalie on the planet who could have stopped that shot... This series is going to be a lot of fun to watch for the next 10 years...

Our transition game is far far better, as is the puck movement within our defensive zone. Many times they will make these slick little touch passes even under duress in their own end this year that lead to quick breakouts where I dont know if I even saw one of those types of plays last year. They are in better position as well, much less running around aimlessly, so many times these chances are with Sabre players in position to defend better which turns it from a Grade A chance to a Grade B or C chance. These advanced metrics can only go so far. Anyone who is watching them in the defensive zone from last year to this year can see its night and day.
