  1. I don't think Pominville has been a disaster..he has been productive when he is with Jack's line, he started out the year on fire, and has scored snice being back on that line too...not out of the question he could end up with 20 goals, that is far from a disaster from a guy his age.
  2. OK...you know it all I guess...I guess the fact Bealieau also said he was wanting to stay here yesterday apparently doesn't matter either...gotta just take a tweet and run with it...
  3. You are wrong. Paul Hamilton was just on WGR and reiterated he did NOT say he wanted to be traded, it was exactly what I wrote.
  4. We get way more snow, but they get way way colder.
  5. Actualy *he* didn't. See above.
  6. No he didn't. He said he wanted to stay in Buffalo but he wanetd to play more. He said his first preference was to stay here but if he wasn't going to play then he wanted to go somewhere he could. definitely not the same as "asking" to be traded.
  7. If I was diong it now I would be going to a virtual campus at a REAL College. Cheaper tuition in many cases, no room/board costs and the degree is from the same school. Nobody will know it's a virtual campus unless you put it on the resume. Curriculum is the same and its very well done now as wll. Would be able to graduate with a degree for under $25K for all 4 years in many cases.
  8. I was listening to it too...said he would get off the team bus and go to the luggage area and start throwing guys bags out on the ground until he found his and then yell at the team assistants responsible for loading the bus and say "I'm the head coach of the xxxx team! Why isn't my bag on top!?"
  9. I see no way TB is trading Point, a guy who has 35 goals and 78 points in 60 games...why would they even consider it?
  10. Pretty wild last 24 hours...roofs blown off, roofs caving in...ice boom broke...anything not tied down getting blown around...all the schools closed Peak Wind Gust at Niagara Falls and Dunkirk was 74 mph, Buffalo Airport 69 mph with sustained winds over 55 mph for several hours... About 65K people lost power...luckily I wasn't one of them... and to top it off, Lake Effect Snow coming all the way from lake Huron over 400 miles away...we can't catch a break lol...
  11. Not no more, Billy...
  12. Brandon Montour?
  13. I dunno...there is tons of data from advanced metrics that show the Sabres are notably worse when he is on the ice versus when he isn't...Schopp on WGR brings this up a lot and I looked to verify and its true... The issue is since he is never hurt we don't have any sample size to see what happens when he is out of the lineup for an extended period of time versus when he isn't. At least this would show if the problem is him playing against the top guys on the other team so much or if its something other than that.
  14. Grape Nuts....I loved that cereal as a kid but i was never willing to get up 30 minutes early just to eat it because it took you that much longer to chew it than any other cereal...
  15. Yeah whatever it is its really bad...he was grabbing at it as soon as he hit the ice and then did the "scoot like an injured animal" on the ground...afraid it might be an ACL with how his skate stuck in the ice and his body twisted when he went down... Doubt we see him anymore this year...hopefully it isn't the last time we see him in a Sabres uniform...
  16. I've never quite understood this. What is the huge deal with acquiring "rental players" at the deadline? If you have a good team why isnt it simply enough to play with the team you have been winning with throughout the season already? How often do these rental players actually work out and is the cost of acquiring them even worth it?? I'm willing to bet the analytics on this is favors it being in the "not worth it" category if anyone has ever done the research. It looks good on paper to add a better player or an upgrade but I'm willing to bet the cost-reward ratio is skewed heavily in the cost's favor. Also willing to bet if a team ends up winning a cup with no real deadline moves other GMs will start taking notice.
  17. Maybe...or maybe Calgary has so many good players in front of him he can't get enough ice time unlike here?
  18. The expectations they should be better than dudes drafted 15 to 20 places lower then them...this isn't the NFL...it's a little easier to tell who will be really good in the NHL
  19. Not really...look at Barzal with the Islanders...dude had 85 points his first year after 1 year in the minors
  20. Why does it seem the players the Sabres draft never live up to expectations but you have guys drafted 15 or 20 spots lower that do...frustrating to no end.
  21. What would you call it watching the way they have been playing the past 2 months??
  22. First team in NHL history to be on top of the NHL standings after Halloween and finish dead last in the NHL?
  23. Sabres cant beat Florida to save their lives...they have been historically bad against them
