  1. I am not as worried about our defense, we have a lot of pieces and hopefully someone will decide they want to make a career in the NHL (and Bogo will decide to not injure himself whilst inhaling) Our wingers is my concern, especially LW - we basically have a 3rd line LW and three fourth line LWs and no 1st or 2nd LW.
  2. There is very little left on the table. It wasn't exactly a feast of a UFA pool, and right now there are the scraps left. Maybe we can poach RFAs?
  3. So we were 31st last year We added a top 4 D, a middle 6 winger and swapped goalies Where do we get now? 26th?
  4. Duclaire still available?
  5. Man I would have taken that any day... It feels like we acquired no depth this FA. We just traded Hutton for Lehner
  6. So where do people think he slots into the line up?
  7. If we pay the bonus he isn;t going anywhere Maybe the Islanders or Sharks will freak out and trade for him
  8. Can Riley Nash play LW?
  9. Who is left? Neal is about it and he will be at least $7 million for 5 years
  10. Because they don't have $16.6 million tied up in Okposo, Pominville and Moulson
  11. ROR is the player that wins you playoff games. He is only 2 year older than Parayko and his style of play ages very well
  12. Toronto signs a 1C to go with their 1C. Buffalo signs a 13 forward I look forward to the playoffs
  13. Toronto wins again
  14. Is there a site that lists the UFA, who they're from, their position and where they have signed?
  15. It almost feels toxic if we dont now... But I really really like him as a player
  16. Sabres were the ones to seek clarification on when they have to pay bonus

  18. The offer has to blow me away. It can't just be fair market value Also for everyone saying we have the impact pieces drafted and so can settle for just drafting supporting pieces... this is why you benefit if you dont draft like crap. You can trade a 20th pick for one of the best centres in the game.
  19. We need to get a centre in return. I am shocked how comfortable everyone is rolling with 1 centre next year
  20. Sounds like ROR is gone :/ (Thanks Jack)
  21. Jack will probably just drive him out #LockerRoomCancer
  22. Yeah - i am not too sure either. But the point stands, if you have a job where you need to perform physically, then staying up partying till 11 hours before you have to be at the rink to get ready for the game is irresponsible and unprofessional. Would Crosby do it? Would Toews do it? Would McDavid do it? Honestly, I think it is very telling that Eichel isn't the team's captain. I think they desperately want him to be, but I think what lets him down is his 'tactical' professionalism. i.e. I dont question he isn't working hard this summer in a 'strategic' sense to get ready, but I question his ability to say "No, i'll go to bed at 11pm, so I can perform my best tomorrow." I hope Dahlin's competitive nature means he will make those choices, and maybe be a good example. Bring Orpik in and a couple others who will similarly do it. Furthermore, do they have to sacrifice the right to have a normal life - getting weekends off, having fast food, drinking lots every week etc etc.? Yes they do. But they are well compensated for these sacrifices.
  23. And if the players think game prep starts at 5pm on the day of the game I think we know why we are an awful team
  24. lol nice. That said I didn't realise Dubas was so young! Dubas and Chayka are both analytics kids and are the two youngest GMs interestingly. Arizona I kind of understand, but it is interesting how a traditional old school hockey market has given the control to the analytics kid.
  25. Honestly, these guys are adults and paid a fortune. They shouldn't need a curfew to be professionals. Why do most people not stay up till 6am when they have work the next day? The reasoning is no different.
