I dunno, a lot of proposals involve us getting a low end second line centre, a mediocre pick or prospect and a cap dump. Ignoring age, I would take RORs 60 points over Eichel's 75 any day of the year. Eichel either needs to become 100 point player, or become defensively capable. That combined with some actual depth and maybe we start to turn things around. Also I dont like how much people are relying on Casey after a few NHL games. Remember Foligno's first 15 games?

I think the Caps might win it all now. Vegas looked very rattled and their Cinderella run all year means they have not faced all that much adversity etc. Really?? I thought it was the best game I have seen in years (I almost exclusively watch the Sabres though...)

Yeah, sadly GMTM was famed for his talent spotting ability, which seemed to fall off a cliff when he joined us. Worth noting Reinhart was our pick regardless of if we picked 1 or 2. Also I think Nylander will be the biggest bust of those, I doubt he ever properly cracks an NHL lineup. He was only drafted that high because of his family.

The important thing that everyone is forgetting is that we traded for Eichel's friend. Maybe this really is Eichel's team, and not in the way Pittsburgh is Crosby's, Edmonton is McDavid's or Washington is Ovechkin's

Not necessarily true, you can do things like take on cap or combine him with a highly touted but almost certain bust of a prospect to get more etc.
