  1. Flames fans think this signing means adios to J Bo
  2. What is special about chz/the picture from 2006? I feel like i came too late to this website and missed the jokes :P
  3. Does she frequently post pictures?
  4. Myers - they will probably put up similar numbers, only Myers is better defensively and is 22 with a huge upside. Wideman is 29, so at his peak
  5. What was wrong with chzbeach1-3?
  6. I disagree, Doan will not go anyway for less than a multi-year deal and i think $4mil would be a fair price for him. I think 4 at 4 per year would work
  7. It is $3 mil, not $2 - which makes a difference for a grinder. But he is still worth it in my opinion. Again, we are not saying we don't want Ott, we are saying that just because you need something doesn't mean you have to overpay to get it. You can still get what you need and then some if your asset is better than theirs. They gave Ribero up for a 2nd/decent prospect. Roy is at least on par with him.
  8. I agree, we do need them. But we had major issues scoring last year, which people seem ti forget - not to mention the fact that it always feels like we have surplus of mediocre players. I just feel people don't realise the weight Roy has on the trade market. He is not a rugged forward, but he does put up points and has worn a letter multiple times. Moreover, i think people have a habit of making up a back story (locker-room cancer) and running with it. I imagine he feels a bit like Ryan does, whenever a trade happens it is always him going the other way. I also don't like the idea of trading/signing someone and then giving them a letter instantly, it just seems cheap somehow. They might be a good leader, but trust and respect is something you earn and very few people in the lockeroom will know the new guy
  9. GPG - 0.14 for Goose and 0.17 for Ott He maybe more physical, but my point was not to say they are the same, but to point out that whilst many people consider Goose a 4th line player, they are willing to give up a good 2C for a 3rd line player at best
  10. Paul Gaustad = 0.37 ppg Steve Ott = 0.39 ppg People need to wake up and stop undervaluing our players. Roy for Ott is highway robbery, Roy had a bad season, but he is capable of putting up 70+ points. Please don't forget that. So those offering trades of Roy/Sekera for Ott are out of their minds, it would be like offering Kopitar/Scuderi for Roy.... He might fit out plans, but that doesn't mean you get him irrespective of the cost. Roy is an asset, you don't waste him. The Pens had three amazing centres, that didn't mean they gave Staal away for free - in fact they got a boatload for him.
  11. I wonder why he was not extended an offer :s
  12. I thought we wanted consistency?
  13. If you watch Win games, it seems that fans think this is a good price and that he stole them a lot of games
  14. Two bottom six forwards might be coming to the Sabres?? I can't wait!!!
  15. I don't quite get all the fuss about Ryan - the guy has only hit the 70 point mark once. Not that i wouldn't want him, just not sure he is worth Stafford/Sekera/1st or Miller for him/Hiller
  16. I wanted us to move up and draft Kane, i hope this is true
  17. Hasek's style is about flexibility and reflexes, both of which drop pretty quickly as you get older. Broduer plays a positional game more than anything, so it is easier to play as he gets older
  18. Read 'Dark Matter' - decent ghost story Now reading 'The Third Man Factor' - so far very interesting
  19. No-one's rights are worth that much. Parise's rights will go for like a 3rd which will be upgraded to a 2nd if he signs. They are not gonna be traded for Malkin and Crosby
  20. I apologise on True Blue's behalf, he was ignorant and foolish for backing up his argument with facts and stats when we were simply dealing with hunches and guesses in this conversation. In other news, i have a stick that tells me where i can find bodies of water....i am pretty impressed with it
  21. I dunno, Brown is leading his playoff team in points, has 4 short handed points, has made a few big checks, has been an unquestioned captain and his team is destroying the top teams in the playoffs. To me, that means they won't want to trade him, thus he will need an incentive.
  22. I think that saying you ahve had to spend time on a players issues implies that they are a problem player, which Roberts is saying is not the CoHo he knows, and whilst true he does only know him away from the team, he also knows him as a person - i doubt Miller is laid back and the life and soul of a party simple because it is the offseason, same is true with Coho and his attitude. He has not replied to the comments because if he disagrees with Gillis, which his high road comment would suggest he does, then all that happens is that it descends into name calling and insults
