  1. I saw someone who was ruthless and stripped of humanity and loyalty - so someone who had become very practical and lost ideology. I think he was a villain, but what made him good was that you could sort of understand why he made the choices he did. There was a perverse logic behind them
  2. I like Daryl the most and Lori is too fit to die! I was both pleased and sad when Shane died - he was a good villain
  3. Luongo is also behind a better defence than Miller. He beat Miller in the Olympics? Really? You are using that against the olympic MVP who posted the best stats in olympic history? He has accomplished more the playoffs...not much more...but more - he was also the sole reason they did not win the cup I think Miller would fetch more - he is younger and has a much nicer contract
  4. Yes, i have said the same before, and thus agree completely. Similarly, i wonder if players have been put off signing in Philly because of them trading Richards/Carter
  5. I think when a line is that hot, it has to involve all three players and not just two of them
  6. So now Roy is gone, can we get a consensus - is Miler the locker room cancer now? Or is Vanek still in contention? Is there a possibility that a dark horse like Gerbe could be the real problem? Miller seems to face far more break aways and good scoring chances than most teams i watch. I think his stats are misleading. I like the fact he answers questions honestly, it is nice to know that losing pisses him off and i think that he is as hard on himself as he is with the team. As far as i am aware, most of the players defend Miller when his ability is brought into question?
  7. Maybe this will just be a boring FA....I kinda expected a flurry of things to happen by now....Maybe tomorrow will be like the normal July 1st
  8. When did they get 5 sigma? I know they got to 4.9
  9. I feel sorry for Nashville, they rolled the dice and came up short and now it seems everyone will bail. Apart from Goose.
  10. Just stay away from Papa John's - they tried to screw me over once!
  11. I just find no interest in the Wild. Their team is not that exciting and i still think of them as playing boring hockey. They are irrelevant, They have not made the playoffs in 4 years and haven't made it past the QF in 8 years. They seem like a team that haven't gone anywhere but haven't sucked enough either. However, i am glad that a small market got these guys - just teams i prefer
  12. Parise is a bit of a dick for doing that.
  13. Is there anyway to regulate these signings? In 5 years there will be like 5 teams who can even afford to get to the cap floor. That or in 10 years the NHL will disband (probably more likely)
  14. They admitted to wanting to sign with the same team yesterday
  15. Is the Wild owner rich enough to pay both the players $25mil over first two years? That is a lot of bacon :s This annoys me for some reason. Probably because Minnesota is a nothing place
  16. Don't the Wild play really boring hockey?
  17. I don't like the fact they went to the same team because: a) It meant the Sabres were out b) It is boring c) it seems unfair :P
  18. Why can't either of the big two decide already?? Every other FA in history has managed to be more decisive. I really hope neither go back to their former teams, as that would literally make this wsit pointless
  19. Put a decent goalie (Miller) behind that defence and you won't need any offence :P
  20. I agree, I was excited about him and Boyes - less so about the other 2. However, i think that Zubrus and the chance of resigning him (he said he wanted to resign) got swept under the rug, what with black sunday
  21. Pipe Dream Alert: So, i was thinking today, we could still be a long shot for Parise, but if he signed here, imgaine if we trade Vanek/Adam/Brennan (or something like that) to CBJ for Nash... Parise-Coho-Nash Foligno-Ennis-Stafford Leino-Ott-Pominville Mccormick-Arnott-Kaleta
  22. Now Roy is gone, we only have 2 top 6 centres and both are under 22 - we can't afford to trade them away, unless we get another centre back. We have so much defence, at some point we should clear out a couple of players
  23. No way in hell. Ryan is really not that good
  24. Only way we trade for both Ryan and Nash is if we get Ryan and flip him for Nash, imo
