  1. After listening to WGR for a bit, I'm pretty sure Allen has shown enough that the fanbase is mostly in the "if you don't think he walks on water then you're not giving him enough credit" stage of the QB cycle. Saying "He had a good but imperfect game" is getting interpreted as "Oh, so you think he sucks?" It's pretty incredible.
  2. @WildCard, you can't just drop that in here and not explain to us what a "big time throw" actually is! Since you're obviously not doing anything at work today, you should go ahead and get the definition for us.
  3. OMG. We were so stupidly close to my goofy bounce to get to OT prediction.
  4. Whatever. He sucks. See also: he's not on my fantasy team.
  5. And that's without Subban and Forsberg!
  6. It's incredible how many of our passes are being tipped by Nashville.
  7. Did Thompson just...faceplant while skating backwards?
  8. Of course, it's also possible we never again gain possession of the puck beyond the red line.
  9. Which is why we're going to get some stupid lucky bounce, cling to it until OT, and then...lose. But hey, it'll be a point! Yea, that last one was super blatant.
  10. We're getting this to OT. Book it.
  11. Pretty soon it's going to be "Josh Allen ended poverty on the play. What else do you want him to do?" And not for nothin', but part of the reason he had to run so much was because he unnecessarily flushed himself out of the pocket. And I still don't know why we were obsessed with the TD there when there was enough time to get the first down and continue the drive. I have no problem with a deep option, but no way should that have been a jailbreak play.
  12. Hey, Skinner finally gave me a reason to hate him this season! Hooray!
  13. Can we throw our PP coach into the volcano?
  14. Hutton with the Lehner special there. Yikes. Alternatively, you could hit F5 a little less frequently ?
  15. The lengths people will go to in order to absolve Allen of any and all blame is pretty amazing. It was a bad throw that would have been a great play had it been a better throw. It was a catchable ball in the sense it would have been a great catch had Clay made it. Nothing about the play was routine, and this either/or argument about it will drive me totally insane. Right. It wasn't a great play design/call when we needed 11 yards. It wasn't a TD or bust play.
  16. Mom doesn't want to hear your rationality.
  17. Jealous older brother who plays more golf than hockey proceeds to make golf metaphor. Well done.
  18. If I could only hug a single post for the rest of my life, this is the one I'd hug. Specifically on Goff, even watching him now you still see some of the glaring flaws that made him terrible as a rookie. It's just that McVay is friggin brilliant and Goff is rarely in situations where his flaws come to light.
  19. I really don't think he was running for his life at all. A lot of the plays he breaks the pocket on he does so of his own volition, not because he's facing any pressure. It's sort of like how Tyrod used to run himself into sacks because he wasn't good enough at manipulating the pocket. Allen is a rookie, so obviously you hope he gets better at it, but it's definitely not all on the line.
  20. Ah, gotcha. Carry on.
  21. If only there was some sort of way to compensate for personnel losses. Some sort of "draft" or "free agency" if you will.
  22. I think this is where I landed. His game as fun, which shouldn't be confused with good. But it's not nothin'.
  23. If it makes you feel better, you'd still have gotten smoked.
  24. It's a close one. I don't have a problem with what they did.
  25. Big part of it is I think he just puts an artificial ceiling on what the team can accomplish. He's behind the times. But his public persona really does irritate the hell out of me, which is weird, because I basically never care what coaches have to say.
