*I* don't think Anaheim has as much appeal as St. Louis, but I can easily see a coach like Q looking at Getzlaf, Kesler, Gibson, and the blue line and thinking it's a really good landing spot. The Trochek injury definitely zaps Florida of some appeal, but they still have Barkov, Huberdeau, Hoffman, and Ekblad. Does anyone remember if Q had a good relationship with Tallon? Because Florida has that, too.

Hank generally isn't worth the effort to argue with on this, but you know that's not what I'm saying. Be better.

Non-Pittsburgh teams with roster appeal who I think are underperforming or whose GM might think are underperforming: Edmonton, Florida, Philly, NJ, Anaheim. I'd include Carolina, but I doubt they A) fire their coach and B) pay Q's price. On that note, I'd be surprised if Florida would pony up for Q.

Part of me would be surprised if he is. He'll get to pick his spot, and even though I don't think the Blues are as bad as their record, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to wait. Yup. But this is the NHL, so...

Sigh. Can't a fella just appreciate an awesome win? Among Sabres 7 regular defenseman, Risto currently ranks: last in GF%, 2nd last in SCF%, 4th in HDCF%, 2nd last in CF%. He's battling Scandella for worst in every metric save for high danger scoring chance percentage, where he's mid-pack.

The metrics aren't bad on this team. Are they top-5 in the NHL good? No. But it's not like the tank team that fell backwards into 11/13 wins or whatever it was. Anyway, I don't understand how people can, after this freaking win, choose to take pot shots at their pet complaints whether it's statistics or O'Reilly. But whatever. Because of one good game?
