  1. I can't believe how many here have food opinions as bad as Eleven's. Did you all have some kind of food opinion where his spread around like a bad STD?
  2. This is the Drew Stafford of food takes.
  3. Your taste buds are defective.
  4. They're not winning squat until they clean it up, that's for sure. Yet, they still have a positive goal differential and currently sit in a playoff spot.
  5. Feel free to add more incorrect choices if such is your desire.
  6. It's nachos. There is no other choice.
  7. I turn on the Boston and Chicago games when we're up 3-1, we lose. I turn this game on when we're down 3-1, and we...might win in regulation? You're all welcome.
  8. See, we can agree! I can't imagine what I'd say either if the Sabres scored 4 goals in the first period :p
  9. Yes. But nachos are, of course, the premier hockey food.
  10. I'm going to hijack the out of this thread with a rental queation (I really don't think my question deserves its own). For the first time in my life I may have to go apartment hunting without actually being able to visit the apartments in person. Anyone have advice on how to go about doing this without being stuck in a lease that make a you want to stab yourself in the eye with a spork on a daily basis for a calendar year?
  11. Indeed. One of the downsides to the resurgence downtown.
  12. I don't think that situation is a mess at all. In fact, the alternative (a quick firing) is much more of a mess in my view. Now, giving Whaley several more years to direct the team might ultimately be the wrong choice, but it's organized and logical. Letting him set the course then ousting him in short order, on the other hand, would be the epitome of dysfunction.
  13. I certainly think it will take more than one. I just can't see Whaley, a new coach, and a new QB being summarily dismissed after a single season of being together. I suppose the firings could happen gradually, but I'd be surprised if Whaley is entrusted to set the new course of the franchise and fired after only one year, unless it's something disastrous like a 1-15 season.
  14. I think Whaley's calculus is relatively straightforward: he doesn't think Tyrod is very good, and he definitely thinks he can get similar level of play (and more upside) for less money. He probably doesn't think Tyrod has the passing ability to play in a more pass-heavy offense, and thinks QBs in a run-controlled system are interchangeable enough to not give the extension. In other words, in his mind, there's very little risk: Tyrod would fail in a pass-happy offense anyway, and if they continue their current offensive approach, he doesn't add much value there either. I think he's wrong on the second half of that, but I don't think it's an insane perspective. In any event, if we're sitting here two years from now and the QB play is worse than what Tyrod provided, I fully expect Whaley to get canned.
  15. So you love the...concept of Zadorov? :p Zadorov's physical tools were always tremendous, but unfortunately, he appears to be saddled with Bogosian-esque hockey sense. Though he's still young and won't be 22 until a few months from now, he was always seen as a boom-or-bust type prospect, and the lack of real forward development in his game isn't exactly cause for optimism. He's 5th on Colorado in ice time among defensemen, 6th in possession metrics among Dmen playing at least 10 games, and is generating less than a shot per game. And Colorado's blue line is worse than ours. Thinking Zadorov would be the solution to our problems is nothing more than a blind prayer...and given your religious sensibilities, I wouldn't have expected you to want to rely on that :p
  16. Well I'm certainly not going to invest the time to get screen caps of every time Bogosian fails to tie up his man in front...that's a lot of times! :p Stafford is a better forward than Bogosian is a defenseman, is cheaper, and on a shorter contract. This comment should not be construed as support for the player Stafford is, but rather, a stinging criticism of Bogosian.
  17. So with roughly equal total ice time, he's managed to be three times as productive as Bogosian, a million dollars cheaper, and on a shorter term contract?
  18. What, exactly, is it about Zadorov that makes you long for him? He's a lot closer to bust than stud bookend. I completely understand lamenting the current state of our defense, but Zadorov is not the droid you are looking for.
  19. If Zach Bogosian were the Drew Stafford of defense, he'd be considerably better at his job.
  20. :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:
  21. You must have had your silver medal clogging your ears. Or dare I say, silver participation trophy?
  22. Fans booing American player of the game. Stay classy, Canadians. (If the reverse happens next year, I'm totally booing)
  23. Nick Kypreos ‏@RealKyper 7m7 minutes ago Doesn't matter who wins now. Needed this final decided #WJC2017 in OT. This ending is as horrible as some of the calls tonight. Pure blooded American bias and whining right there  Assquatch lives!
  24. Are you referring to this game? Your bar league? Your illegitimate child's peewee league? ...does it matter which one you're referring to?
