  1. Fair enough, was just curious. Re: Corsica....when isn't that site lagging? I love the information there, but hot damn is it a mess performance-wise.
  2. Mention Taylor Pyatt and Mike Weber and you might see Drane's excitement from outer space.
  3. All the more reason to not buy him out. There's a non-trivial chance he could get banished to LTIR island.
  4. The return for Kane was definitely garbage. But there's a difference between that and assuming he could have done better had he played things differently.
  5. Was Scandella the market correction? I'd say he's on about the same level as Larsson, maybe a hair behind.
  6. We assign magical properties to athlete quotes, may as well do it to the tank.
  7. It's not good, but it set a precedent. If nothing else, it certainly makes Dmen trades more difficult, even if they don't turn out quite so lopsided.
  8. Yup. But we're Buffalo, so it won't happen to us. Obviously. Moreover, we can re-hash the tank all we want, but when a team's best non-top-10 draft pick in a decade is Jake McCabe, it's going to suck. Keeping Torrey Mitchel, Christ Stewart, and Jhonas Enroth isn't going to move the needle.
  9. Welp, I can't believe I took you literally right then. It's the end of the semester, that's the only excuse I've got :bag:
  10. I took the Moulson thing to be of the "Did you enjoy the AHL? I ask because it's that or retirement next season" variety, not the "Hey we might have a spot for you" variety.
  11. Well, apparently Harrington has been on the "Pegula should be there" train all morning, so I imagine at least several minutes will be wasted on that line of questioning.
  12. Or, maybe, now hear me out here...there is no locker room problem.
  13. I'm certainly not advocating they should have built around Tyrod, but for a group with a win now mantra, hiring a coordinator who would design an offense for all of Tyrod's worst qualities wasn't exactly logical. Trading up for Zay Jones. Thinking Tolbert (and now Ivory) are viable #2 RBs. The current state of the WR corps. Hiring a new OC with no track record of success. There are a lot of reasons to question their judgment on the offensive side of the ball, or at least, not just trust them implicitly.
  14. Right, but he wasn't objectively terrible like he was this season. McBeane took him from serviceable to bad.
  15. Says the old guy who didn't have the strength to sustain any optimism in the face of losing :p Thing is, McDermott was part of the reason for that. Combined with the choices of backup RBs in consecutive seasons and apparently not believing in the need to add offensive weapons, I see no reason to be confident in McBeane's approach to offense.
  16. Oh, and I'd like to post more, but while everyone is in "the world sucks and will continue to suck because it sucks right now" I'm really not too motivated to do so. Getting out of the Buffalo sports bubble has been pretty great for my mental wellness.
  17. I find it unlikely he was the victim of an unfortunate misunderstanding both in Miami and here, while also loving Trump. *eagerly awaits ban*
  18. He's a racist, homophobic piece of garbage. Good riddance. Seriously. If he actually believes he's a HoFer, his kidneys aren't the only organs failing.
  19. Good riddance. Obviously it hurts on the field and gives us another hole we have to fill. But good riddance.
  20. Toronto absolutely is. You old farts ( :p) have to stop pretending they're the Leafs if a few years ago that was rolling Bozak out as their top center. Separately, I've long said I thought Nylander would be a better NHLer than AHLer*, and nothing he's shown in these games has dissuaded me from that position. His strengths are maximized and weaknesses minimized. *This in no way, shape, or form should be taken to mean I think he's a budding all-star.
  21. I would happily take either of those players for O'Reilly. But barring a top-pair D, I don't see any move that makes much sense.
  22. Score 1 for the stats nerds :D
  23. I agree. But I also don't think it makes any sense for Arizona, with where they're at, to make the move. The Blues would make a really interesting trade partner.
  24. This is what happens when you make a series of bad roster decisions as your stars age out. The Seabrook retirement contract. The Hjalmarsson trade. Moving Panarin to bring back Saad.
