  1. I want them to detail all the trades and signings they will make
  2. There's no doubt that he's great - a superstar - but yup, his skating is miserable and he does as little as he has to do to it seems like
  3. Draisaitl is the worst superstar I've ever seen
  4. Sorokin deserves every single game check handed out to an islander this year. Garbage team
  5. We allowed the third most goals in franchise history, just the third sabre team to allow 300, first since the mid/late 80s
  6. We have some unfinished business here fellas don't leave
  7. I work with a cop who doesn't watch football, but figured I would be interested in the knowledge that his colleague was called to Josh's house in the middle of the night, hours before the bengals playoff game. I've heard this same information put forth by at least 2 independent people, one of them on the bills forum, which has me fairly convinced it happened, even if no one here has any reason to believe me. The exact details beyond this I do not know but have heard several rumors about
  8. Mine is Toronto over Edmonton
  9. In 2023-24 Tage will be at most the 58th-highest-paid player in the league. Pretty cool
  10. "keeps being passed around" *older, upcoming UFA on a bottom 10 team that is sinking and selling off assets, so they trade him to a contender, after he gets them their franchise's first cup and wore the C for like 4 seasons* alright man
  11. Apparently some goofball asked Zemgus if he was considering retirement? lol He responded "I'm 29" or something like that, incredulously
  12. It is hard to figure out when to go with the elite goalie in the bracket challenge. I like NJ's team better than NYR's, but it's hard to choose Vanacek over Shesterkin. Same deal in the VEG/WIN series.
  13. Tampa has given our best players severe injuries in dirty fashion numerous times. Every time we play Tampa refs decide that they can mug our players while we cannot put one toe on the line. I ***** hate Tampa At least when we play Toronto it resembles a fair hockey game
  14. For years I wanted a short leash on young players finding their way because our lineup around them was so weak. We spent years trying to dump water out of a sinking ship, so Mitts and Tage were guys I had no interest in seeing in Buffalo. Things are different now, and Krebs can absolutely find his way in the lineup the way it's constructed. There are a dozen different ways you can deploy him to try and find the way he helps the team the most, without jeopardizing our place in the standings. I'm happy to let them do that, and have absolutely no idea to what level he will find his way. Tage blew me out of the water, Mitts did better than I expected. Hoping Krebs can do the same
  15. Well no wonder people are arguing with that point!
  16. That's not what I said The top line with 120 minutes of mittelstadt centering took more shots, allowed fewer shots, scored more goals, allowed fewer goals, had more scoring chances, and allowed fewer scoring chances per game/minute/whatever than it did with Tage. I posted the stats in the game day thread. This does not mean I think Tage is a worse player than Mitts. I just countered SDS's insinuation because it didn't seem fair. I'm not sure why I did this because he's the worst poster on the board and pretends I don't exist but anyway
  17. Man, I remember that Kyle press conference like it was yesterday. Where does the time go
  18. After missing a lot of games the past few years, he also showed us he can stay healthy. The only Sabre to play all 82.
  19. His production skyrocketed when he was put on the first line, and the line improved its metrics despite facing the same top competition.
  20. NGL I want the Leafs to beat Tampa
  21. Skinner - Mitts - Tuch 112 mins together 5v5 58% corsi, 11 goals for (1 goal every 10 mins), 4 goals allowed (1 goal against every 28 mins) 56% expected goals 60% scoring chances Skinner - Thompson - Tuch 581 mins together 5v5 55% corsi, 42 goals for (1 goal every 13.8 minutes), 32 goals allowed (1 goal against every 18 minutes) 52% expected goals 53% scoring chances Tage's data is much more robust, as it lasted basically the whole season, and these are very good numbers. But I'm intrigued by the idea of continuing to keep Casey there. What's stopping me is that I think we can find good chemistry for Casey on another line easier than we could for Tage.
  22. Why is this the season with the highest attendance in Columbus since 03-04? They've had a few very good ones.
