  1. I don't want Dumba for next year, let alone the 5 after
  2. I want Toronto to win for my bracket
  3. One round closer to cup/offseason/October
  4. He does always seem to find a new team and contribute as a stabilizing veteran presence, something I could see Casey doing if we let him go (which I don't think we will)
  5. Tatar is turning 33 this year and scored 29 goals 8 seasons ago, are you thinking of the right guy? Everyone always enthusiastically said he was made for tv after his playing career ended
  6. He is this year's Duke Johnson. If the RB room is healthy then your lasting memory of him will be the third preseason game
  7. I believe I have shown that Murray made more draft selections, including more first/second round selections, than Botterill did in the same number of drafts
  8. Good for the Leafs. Can't wait to experience similar feelings next year
  9. It'd be sick (That's my bracket)
  10. His film was terrible, any measurable or computable statistics was terrible, and his first 150 games saw his shooting talent amass a worse shooting percentage than players such as Johan Larsson. If we don't like the word garbage I'll say terrible instead. Every player is a terrible nhl player at some point in their development. His game was awful. Now he's elite. This isn't hard
  11. Or describing what you see on the ice for a team trying and failing to win It is not a statement on the future potential of the player I could use different words but they would have conveyed the same point
  12. Every statement I make judging the quality of a player will be implicitly comparing them to average NHL players. He was garbage relative to that standard, that's all I mean. And he was, he couldn't do anything I remember this lol
  13. Tage was definitely a garbage hockey player a few years back, Berglund was a disgrace to the swords I remember Tage leading a 3 on 2 versus the Jets, doing a weird spin drop pass that Winnipeg took down the ice on their own odd man rush, scoring
  14. This response not only gives no context to the question but begs me to repeat it
  15. What are the odds that any group of 3 division teams remain dysfunctional for 20 years? That's what I'm saying Independent of New England, you'll never see anything like that again There were maybe 5 "good" football seasons in those 60 collective years
  16. Tage puts in more work for this organization in a day than that guy did for his entire half of a year as a Sabre
  17. Why did this question come to you in late April of 2023
  18. The Bills have a [length of Josh Allen's career] window. 2 weeks before 13 seconds everyone was miserable about our offense He can win any game at any time. The roster will fluctuate around him but all you need is for things to click at the right time. When you have josh allen every year odds are good that it'll happen once or twice I remember Brady teams that had bottom 5 defenses and struggling weapons until late December, then they'd win a SB Doomerism is pathetic, we are in a Bills golden age
  19. I just don't get why none of us could give NE this sort of challenge when we had 20 years to do it Last summer was bad. This year I need them to step back from the ledge
  20. My post actually reads harder on the Jets than I meant it. They are probably a great team now, could win the division and be super bowl contenders. It is their best swing, and they were right to take it. It also might not be enough because we were blessed with McBAllene. (Sorry)
  21. Signing a 40 year old isn't enough to give the bungling Jets franchise THIS degree of respect, IMO. I won't laugh at them, but the Jets are the team with a comical drought filled with disastrous management and football. The Bills' baseline is something to which the Jets are desperately trying to leap, and they have now used up their dry powder at this point. What they have now is about what they will have to challenge us with for the foreseeable future, as their young players start needing second contracts. They have a lot of pressure on them because of this, if this doesn't work to pass the Bills, they can't really do anything about it. (I think Miami is in the same boat) The Bills just need to keep doing what they have been doing for 3 years. They do need to win a road playoff game- they are also the only franchise besides KC to win playoff games each of the last 3 years. Nobody comes close to the Bills in point differential the last 3 years. The Bills won 14 games despite forgetting how to play football and having serious injury issues on D for the vast majority of last year, and a QB with a serious UCL strain in his throwing arm from week 8 onwards. The Jets won 7 and added a QB that barely looked average most of last season. Defensive performances are difficult to maintain year over year (2019-20-21 Bills defenses had a variance of like 16 ranking positions between each season) and while the Jets D was top 2 last year, the bills have learned to be comfortable in those close, grinding games. Both the Jets and the Dolphins have paths to pass the Bills this year. Neither team has Josh Allen, so even if that happens, I wouldn't trade places with either team. Miami has a TON of OLD players with huge cap hits and a Qb coming off his rookie deal (and considering retirement), the Jets have a 3 year window of good cheap players that will become as difficult as the bills current situation, only their QB is 40 and currently 2 levels below ours, and have to learn to be great immediately to have a chance at jumping Buffalo For all the things we wring our hands about in Buffalo, we have it so good. Pumped for the fall and looking forward to our prime time game against the jets
  22. I think its probably pretty hard to check back into football when you spent an entire year checked out The Jets should be a very good football team, and the Bills need to work harder than ever to maintain their spot at the top of the division But my prediction is that as usual, the talk of the AFC in January will be centered on Mahomes Allen and Burrow
  23. Who should the forum hire as its coach?
  24. I'm pretty convinced at this point that the hockey gods would allow sabrespace to have more joy if they didn't celebrate victory after the first mile of a marathon literally every single time
  25. I want tampa to win the least of those 3 for sure. I am not sure if I'll know about BOS/TOR until I am watching the games
