  1. Does anybody know their record with/without Doug Allen singing? @PASabreFan, do you keep track in your stat book?
  2. Matthews another 2 goals, Tavares 4 points, Marner 3 points.
  3. I wasn't focused for a lot of this game so he might have made a lot of mistakes, but Dahlin stuffed MacKinnon and Landeskog on two different rushes and it was so good
  4. It's always a daunting one, but while bad everywhere, the Sabres seem to relax and play more naturally when they aren't at home, over the last few years. They had 8 more points on the road than at home last season
  5. We have two lines running at what you'd want from that line in the NHL (1st, 4th) so far, and Skinner basically alone on one of the middle ones. We need to jumpstart those other lines so that they're scoring when everyone else is hitting posts and having goals called back. The score doesn't phase me, you give up breakaways when the game is out of reach and you're trying to claw back within it. Total meh. This loss doesn't feel deflating in the same way that the early ones did last year. They weren't clicking or playing well, and weren't getting bounces at the same time. It happens. Go dominate the Yotes, please. This road stretch will set the tone for the season.
  6. Way ahead of you on that stat, broadcast team Get a PP goal here just to make it interesting boys
  7. So in my haste to catch up, I didn't really watch much of the goal review in the 1st, was that goalie-interference call a good call? That was a sick play and it's a shame it's stricken from the record forever
  8. Clunker so far. Strangely, not in a way that makes me dread the rest of the season Jack has been so good tonight.
  9. Nasty Nate followed by the other Nasty Nate
  10. The cat that found a home on our porch and kept it by being the nicest, sweetest little cat in the world, who we named Oscar because his first official house was a blanket-lined garbage can, just passed away ? I really wanted him to make it to Thanksgiving when I could see him one last time
  11. That was some pretty crazy zone time. Need those posts to be goals.
  12. Way behind, just saw Colorado's third goal, Berglund was dreadful. Hovered to the front of the net, giving the guy on the wing the whole entire side of the ice to work with, and yet didn't even cover the guy in the slot who scored. Nice.
  13. That's the work I'm most confident in, actually ? I was a member of this board at age 16 and I can't imagine any of that stuff aging well lmao
  14. I think the story is from the insiders that they are indeed going back to the original colors. A poster here (Claude Verret, maybe?) knows a guy in the org who has assured him that this is happening, and Claude gave us correct info about last year's WC jersey before it came out, so he's trustworthy on the subject.
  15. Liger's got the only thing I could find with a quick search
  16. I would sacrifice the top knuckle of my pinky finger to secure this win. I really would.
  17. He hasn't been elite yet this year. The NFL is quick like that. Fred Jackson was awesome, stiff-arming Chris Conte to win the game, helping us to our best record in some time, had a much richer Buffalo history than Shady, and a couple months later he was cut and that was it. Like I mentioned above, the captain/locker room angle is the only thing that would pause me trading him for a good return (the one we're rumored to be looking for, not the 5th others , likely correctly, think we'd get). Our only legitimately good game this year had him on the bench with no pads on.
  18. Tonight Pominville ties Ric Seiling and Mike Foligno for 10th most games played for the Sabres in franchise history.
  19. I actually feel bad for doing that, because god knows what people can drag up from my posting history.
  20. Your overall point is something I agree with, though Larsson over Elie organizationally doesn't really fit into it IMO. Larsson over Nylander in Rochester does. To be clear, I don't care that Larsson is in over Elie. I don't think it's an example of what you're talking about though. I think Phil likes Larsson a bit better than Elie as a hockey player and is doing what he thinks gives his team the best chance to win tonight.
  21. Most likely. He's nowhere near good enough to drive play from the back end himself.
  22. It would be soooo sweet to get a win tonight
