  1. It was a pick play/interference call
  2. That's still true. My tiers would go something like: 1.) QB 2.) DE, T, WR, CB 3a.) IOL, DT 3b.) S, LB, TE 4.) RB 5.) K, P I am nervous about large extensions for positions not in tiers 1 or 2 given the state of the Bills' cap
  3. Even if this is true, for a team operating on the slimmest of cap margins I hate giving that amount of money to the DT position which I do not consider premium unless you have a game-wrecker there.
  4. I've seen Boston do that to us 100 times without being called
  5. I hope it happens. It makes about 5 TB worth of posts on this board insanely wrong
  6. Yeah, no team with both this guy and Staal and Staal playing should be good enough to win the cup
  7. Lol I just looked at the screen as it flashed away from an interview - was that Okposo?
  8. That check on Tkachuk probably should have put florida on the PP
  9. What a quick momentum shift
  10. First full period of hockey i've watched in a while. It looks like Florida is the team that sucks bags of *****
  11. No - keep doing this If you're good at/passionate about video editing, show us what you're doing too
  12. @dudacek, you're the goalie value guy. Demko probably won't cost as much as 13, right? He was terrible to start last year but found his game at the end
  13. There was an annoying string of tweets going around saying "Breaking: Bills almost certainly unlikely to land Hopkins" They were popular enough and from sources trusted enough that it basically shaped the discourse into moving on every Bills fan. Maybe from an Athletic writer i think they are ultimately correct. But the reasoning was completely absurd. I assumed it meant he had a source that told him so. But the only thing the tweets/articles said was, "Hopkins wants 15 mil per year and the Bills have less than 2 mil in cap space. It's over." Crazy how that successfully ran through discourse without getting shot down. One restructure and one void year could trivially give Hopkins exactly that if the Bills wanted to do it lol
  14. Was hoping for him, Ingram or Clark
  15. No DTs under contract for 2024 Will have him as the ~16th highest paid DT for now, and that number will incraese, so it's not completely unreasonable They like to lock up their own When he plays next to a good 1-tech he's a very good player, and Jones is a good 1-tech That being said, I hate it
  16. We rolled out a group of goalies which couldn't crack the top 80 in most NHL goaltending metrics and missed the playoffs by one point. I don't care about this mystical "how the GM sees it" I care about getting NHL goaltending They can do what they want, I will opine on it and hope they don't fail the position a 4th time in a row. If they do, they should join me in the stands
  17. "Fearless" "I have no fear my job will be in jeopardy when UPL mirrors a Lalime win percentage and is 89th in most goalie advanced stats and we miss by 3 points despite scoring the 5th most goals in team history " I'm glad this stuff is finally back to normal
  18. The most amusing bit of evidence I encouter against the tank nowadays is how ridiculous guys like sneaky Joe or jeremy sound having to explicitly add to every discussion on the topic a disclaimer of how objectively correct they were to support it and how they definitely do not regret that part of the strategy, just every other possible facet of the rebuild that can in theory be judged And the fact that this insistence is increasing in its tone of quiet desperation and faux certainty over time. Because we all know that the nature of real Truth is that over time, it needs to be MORE forcefully asserted, and its opposition more isolated/mocked/expunged from reasonable debate, made into caricatures to be derided, lest it be lost forever. Definitely how truth works, rather than the exact opposite of the truth Truth definitely doesn't entrench with time, settle calmly into what is obvious to any good faith observer, it needs frantic and fervent zealots to police discourse on the topic to make sure we all know that the tank was good actually No this pattern definitely doesn't mirror to other contentious topics
  19. Didn't torts do pretty well there relative to the rest of their history?
  20. The smart thing to do here would be to assume neither of these guys exist until you actually see them excelling in that role.
  21. Thanks for the warning. I will steer clear.
  22. I'm normally less skeptical of that sort of thing, but it's true that I've never seen Matthews take a step forward in the playoffs the way the greats can. You'd think that after 7 years it would have happened once just by chance But even discounting that, I think it was fair to call Matthews the 2nd best player in the world for the 21-22 season, and maybe the one before it. But I think if you ask that question right NOW, he's not it, and if you sum the last 4 years, he's not it either He's still awesome and if he was available I would probably inquire. And then move on after hearing asking price
  23. I've tried to watch the Bandits 3 times since last May and each time they got their teeth kicked in by the Colorado Mammoth. Im not interested in seeing any more of this
  24. I went to Dinosaur in Buffalo and thought it was OK. Tried the one in Roch last year and it was a top 10 meal I've ever had
