Okposo has been the best case scenario. IMO he is a bad fit for Jack. Pominville's lack of speed is mitigated by his ability to score an obscene amount of goals from in tight. Kyle has never been known for that. His board presence is valued on Mitts' line which spends a lot of time there. Jack and Skinner ensure that the puck is on Sabre sticks away from the boards most of the time they have it. 21-15 never worked, 21-9 wouldn't either IMO. Keep guys within their roles where they've shown success and comfort. It's how we got here.

The Sharks are good and will be better than their record at the end of the year. We played them incredibly well for two periods in SJ before falling apart in the third. You can do this boys. Go get number ten. Go Sabres!!

I would add "goaltending, healthy defensemen, and points from the D" to depth scoring there. Tough to say how this team would look with only forward depth scoring and not that other stuff which also improved greatly from last season. I still can't get over how long it took our D to score last year.

Forget Winnipeg - the "Tage isn't ready" position became solidified more than a month ago. I'm talking, the mundane shift-to-shift plays going back to the first games of the season not being NHL-worthy. That he assisted on two goals against later on in the season were only exclamation points. But hopefully that's all in the past. Because he's playing like he was in preseason, when he made pretty much every poster's top 12. I think the board knew that this player was in there, and just figured it was going to take AHL seasoning to bring out. I'm just shocked that the only complaints I've had are line combos. Since those are a given for any coach, that means I haven't had any actual complaints. Coupled with the occasional fun media presence, I don't even know who this team is anymore!
