  1. Ok, whatever. I'm not overly confident that the former coach had the ability to develop younger guys nor am I confident in the decision making of the GM's ability to write a young guy off as no good. Obviously the GM has no talent in evaluating players, and Ruff punished young guys. I think Brennan stays in Florida, as Dineen had him in Rochester, and he does fairly well. 7 points, a +1 in 11 games on a bad team tells me he isn't totally void of NHL talent like you imply.
  2. Why did they have to waive him at all? could have traded others away, there were things they could have done. They didn't have to get rid of Brennan.
  3. Yep! and he seems as frustrated as us with the lack of effort. Lack of talent can be dealt with and accepted but lack of effort can't and Ott seems like that is really bothering him. I vote to make him captain and give him free rein to confront everybody in that locker room, then tell Darcy ship this guy or that guy out because he just doesnt want to give an honest effort. Otter for captain!!! Get R Dun!
  4. Wow, TJ Brennan has 2 goals 5 assists and +1 in 11 games with Florida. Had to get rid of a young talent like him because he is obviously no good and not on par with Meyers talent level.
  5. Can't really say what would have been better, but I have to believe 4 first rounders would have been way way way more expensive than the $7 million per year Vanek signed for had they kept the picks. Nice stats. Vanek is also 5th in power play goals over the 8 year stretch.
  6. whatever, I work everyday with a Bruins fan and we talk hockey almost everyday and he seems to have no concerns at all about Rask. Anaheim isn't replacing Fasth or Hiller with Miller, it would just never happen.
  7. I think you are out to lunch here buddy. I don't think Boston has any concerns what so ever. Oh, by the way when was the last time Miller succeeded in a playoff series? Anaheim is perfectly fine with their goalies going forward. Miller wouldn't bring anything more to the table than what they already have(he brings less imho).
  8. Detroit, Philly, maybe, it would be close but no sure thing. A definitive no way in either Boston or Anaheim.
  9. I don't know, just had a team trade one of their 3 goalies that are better than our #1. There are a number of teams that have 2 goalies better than our #1 right now. Although unlikely, Miller being a backup somewhere next year isn't 100% out of the question, there are a lot of goalies better than him.
  10. yep exactly, some just have no common sense when the blinders are as thick as they are.
  11. Played on RITs team that went to the Frozen Four I believe.
  12. Enroth would have been crucified if he left a rebound like that
  13. Yep, gearing up for a 7 gamer with the Bruins. Iginla, Morrow, and Murray make them substantially tougher for a Pens/Bruins slugfest. I don't think they would have been able to handle the Bruins in a 7 game series before. Why can't we have a GM like that, must be nice.
  14. Man, that guy sure seems to get hurt a lot.
  15. So much better. Reg season 10/11 Phi 3.12 gpg pp 82% Bos 2.98 gpg pp 82% or maybe it was the playoffs you were referring to Playoffs 10/11 Phi 2.64 gpg 14% pp Bos 3.24 gpg 11% pp Nope don't see it, then again maybe NHL.com is wrong.
  16. Yep, Luongo also had 2 shutouts against a tougher team in the Bruins, than Millers 2 shutouts against a weaker team in the Flyers that year. Luongo had a bad game 7, no doubt but Miller also gave up 4 goals per game in the other 5 games of that series against the Flyers, not good at all.
  17. Don't know why the need to cherry pick? Luongo played 2 playoff games last year, so does that really count in your analysis? Just take their career playoffs as a whole and their stats are eerily similar 2.53 gaa, 2.46 gaa and .916, .917 sv%, 32 wins to 25 wins. Other than Millers first 2 years, including this year he will have only played in 13 total playoff games in the last 6 years. At least Luongo is getting to the playoffs, all his playoff work is in the last 6 years, and will probably have more playoff games this year. FWIW, Luongo hasn't choked any worse than Miller has the past 6 years.
  18. If Miller were to retire after this year, is he HOF worthy? I don't think he gets close to getting in. If he maintains similar stats for the next 5-7 years then maybe, but I still don't think so.
  19. No more nuts than when he dropped them with Lucic.
  20. Why try and tell people what they can and can't say on an opinion board? when and where?
  21. This is true for every single goalie that has ever played. Whether it is for 1 period, 1 game or 5 games in a row every goalie has ups and downs and times of being "elite". The elite goalies have more ups than downs or "elite" moments, that doesn't seem to be the case with Miller and that is why he is seen as average to a lot of people.
  22. oh i forgot no goal ever is millers fault. my bad. :wallbash:
