Potential Sabres deadline moves(sellers)…
Sabres Fan in NS replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Aud Club
Some hotshot GM that thinks he has a shot to knock over TB and thinks he is missing a coveted RHD with some offense potential and not glaring defensive downside will cough up 1st for Miller. -
The top 4 teams are still playing. That's what everyone should want. Your point about JA slipping on that 4th down against the Titans was not lost on me. If he hadn't and the Bills had won that game and all other things being equal the Bills would have had the bye and would be hosting the Bengals this weekend. Anyway ... You are right ... if the Bills play as they did against NE or close to that perfect they will beat any team that is left playing, including any NFC team. It is an *if*, but they are an excellent team that can play ball with anyone.

My prayers have been sent and I will continue to send them. The hostages were very brave and it seems that all owe their lives to this one particular cool headed and very smart / trained individual. I too am thankful that all are safe. From his family, the hostage taker was a Muslim. It is indeed an act of terror when someone uses violence to try to advance a political agenda. It seems that the hostage taker demanded the release of a prisioner linked to terrorism and terrorist organizations. It seems that people are trying to appeal the conviction of that individual. Taking hostages and violence is never a way to try to advance some agenda. There does not seem to be an anti-Jewish specific point to the hostage taking. That said, it seems that the hostage taker knew where to go and when to go there. I do not want to derail the thread into another discussion on this issue and Islam. All I will say (again) is that, as a Muslim, I condemn this act. A vast majority of Muslims (including the hostage takers' family) will condemn this act. The Qur'an specifically condemns this type of action. It is not my place to say if the hostage taker was a good or bad Muslim, but he did not act in a way that is in keeping with the teachings of the faith. Salam / Peace

He is, but he isn't saying that anymore.

The 4th line and extra forwards are pretty terrible. The other lines I can live with, I suppose.

I know, @nfreeman knows that I was just horsing around with him.

dudacek poised on the precipice of history

While I do not know how much time you spend on here just whiling away the hours, but if your contribution ratio is any indication (under 25,000 posts and over 10,000 + ranking ... very impressive) your time spent is definately much more quality than quantity. Again, thank you for your contributions. It is, indeed, an honour to share this message board with you. -
Prayers sent his way. I see this morning that all hostages are safe and the hostage taker has been killed. I would have preferred him to be alive to figure out what was the real motivation. Seems to be not targeting the Jewish community, but who knows for sure now that the hostage taker is dead. Demand from hostage taker was the release of a prisoner linked to terrorism. Damn. Targeting innocent people for any reason is just plain wrong. Violence is not a solution for any problem.

This team's problem is not a lack of talent
Sabres Fan in NS replied to Doohickie's topic in The Aud Club
I believe that it has always been about lack of talent, except when there was not a lack of talent ... 1975. That said, some teams lacked talent, but made up the deficiency with great work ethic. That also said ... there was more talent on those hard working teams than the Sabres have now and at many other times in their history. Bottom line is this team needs more talent at some key positions (goalie) and the supporting cast (bottom 6 forwards and 4 - 7 D). It seems that help is coming soon in all those areas of concern.
