"Increasingly Substantiated BS" rumor thread- 2014 Edition
X. Benedict replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
( Tank you very much, Tank you very much, that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me ♫. -
I'm hearing from the Canadians....they are willing to trade Norm McDonald for Miller, we have to throw in Silverman from the farm system though. I think we counter with Miller and Belzer and see if they bite.
-
Could he have stopped? Yes..............he needed to get punched either way though.
-
Any chance Miller gets traded during the game?
-
He makes that run with a 3-1 lead? hmmmm...and he's French French....that's even more puzzling.

Whatever it was...it was crowded. 3 goalies on the active roster for long stretches. -
Lou Costello was the Selke winner for straight men for how many years.
-
I want him on my PP unit.
-
Flip Wilson as third line center? As long as he plays it as Geraldine. I don't want Richard Lewis on my team, or Dennis Miller , I'm trading them for Bill Hicks, and Woody Allen. PA is going to want Buddy Hacket on this roster, and Shadling is soft in corners, so Dice Clay or at least someone with a little grit. Lewis Black........ And Henny Youngman.....geez, might as well bring in Burns and Hope and will make it the Carnation Hour Line.

Trade Myers? First I've heard of it. 2 thoughts ........if it brings in young talent up front I'm good with that. If Murray thinks Ekblad is the best player in the draft, he should pull the trigger. The blue line will be a crowded house in two years. -
They are trying to intimidate you into missing a B or a G. Don't be afraid to play dirty. It's Bingo. Money is on the line.

Murray has the luxury of a last place team. Most of the time Darcy at least had playoff possibilities and a locker room to consider. TM is basically putting up the last place rummage sale sign. -

Malcolm Subban as a package for a rental, maybe. But Erhoff isn't a rental. -

I think you are really underestimating the market value of Ehrhoff's skill set. Or you have something to justify a high estimation of M. Subban. -

Malcolm Subban a promising but unproven prospect goalie for a proven top 4 puck mover in Erhoff? I don't think that starts a conversation if those are the principal pieces. -

I wouldn't do that. -
I think if we stopped the raping and pillaging they would be disappointed in us. It's like being Tom Jones and not singing "What's New Pussycat" at a concert. It is just what is expected of us. And those babies with a little local BBQ sauce isn't all that bad.

Depending if there are deals at deadline or not, Buffalo may have the problem of getting to the cap floor next year. So spending money on a front loaded deal might (for someone) be a necessity.

Last Olympics for NHL players, do you agree?
X. Benedict replied to millbank's topic in The Aud Club
The Olympics stay. The network wants it and the players want it. If the NHL can't figure out how to market it, that's their problem. I think what bothers the owners is that they know how the sausage is made. The Olympics generates billions in revenue more than the NHL. Where does all that money go? What is more lucrative, being a member of the IOC or being an NHL owner? It is hard to tell with Swiss bank accounts and a winking attitude towards graft.
