Our ahl prospect core of larsson, armia, grigorenko, schaller, ruhwedel, pysyk, and mccabe don't look to shabby :)

And let's just say this about the islanders before we pull a buffalo bills and cancels out a decade of incompetence because of a quick start. They won their first four games. Great, two against carolina and one against san jose. Teams we have beaten. Since then they are 2-3, and are still bottom 5 in the league in goals against. Just saying :)

OT: Is the world series, and baseball, done as a major sport?
Johnny DangerFace replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club
Isn't baseball's ratings higher than ever and more profitable than ever? I could be totally wrong on both of those points. But it seems to be doing great and people have been saying it's dying for as long as I can remember -
Look, for the first thing about laws. They are always evolving and being changed. In this country, people are punished for following laws, and people who break laws aren't punished. It is an extremely lazy argument to say, no we are rewarding lawbreakers. People make laws, people can change laws. Second point, let's say your democrat conspiracy is right. Let's say the politicians only want amnesty for votes. Who cares? If the people getting amnesty want it for other legitimate reasons, and the people who support amnesty want it for other legitimate reasons, then who cares what the few politicians want? When people wanted to abolish slavery, and people supported getting rid of it, but there were some politicians who were like "hey these are free votes" would you be that guy saying who cares about the reasons the slaves have or the people who support abolishing it have.....the politicians only want it for votes so NO. Plus let's not reward lawbreakers, these are property under the law. The reason I want amnesty to be given and the reason people want to receive amnesty isn't so they can go vote democrats in office. That doesn't even cross the mind . So just because that's the reason some politicians want it, then who cares. Just because they broke a law, who cares. That happens all the time, the law isn't the end all be all I'm just saying the lawbreaker and voting reasons aren't legitamate reasons against amnesty. There are plenty of reasons you could argue. Also I can agree to disagree on this, I do see your point :)

GDT: 10/28/14 Sabres vs Leafs 7:30 P.M.

Wait what? That's a pretty strange a big logical leap and assumption. I'm just saying there are plenty of laws that were meant to be broken. They are after all, laws only. They change and evolve by the voice if the people. Immigration rights a major interest of the Democratic Party, elected by the people. Who are you to say what they are doing is wrong, when many Americans want the result, and it is being achieved the way the constitution intended. If you are bothered by the subjective intent of the politicians then oh well. It's an important concern of the people, and we elected them. If amnesty is what people want, regardless of why the politicians want it, then who cares if it rewards lawbreakers?

There are many laws in this country that are meant to be broken HopefulFuture :P

Depends on what you mean by "constitutional right" Lol

Yea i think most gets sent back home to without a doubt. I think some when they are away from their family do want to go home. But the vast majority want to stay here of course, and their families want to come here as well. I was just answering your question why mroe don't apply legally, I'm sure you knew the answer though. And I don't care if they don't put money into our economy. Go to central america and look at what the effect the american corporations have there, and what the US dollars has done to their economy. The money that goes into the business, don't get put back into their country, so it is a tough cycle and works both ways. I think it is a difference of opinion. I don't place American life above non-american life ever. That doesn't make sense one bit. I love the fact people come to this county and lead a better life because of it.

It's a simple answer. They don't have the money to come here legally. It can be expensive. They come here save money, and send it back home to support their family with a goal if becoming citizens one day. Try saving money making dollars a day with young children.

I think he'll establish himself as our most talented player within a year or two. But right now I would rank dareus, kyle Williams, and Mario Williams above him.

RIP Oscar taveras. Elite baseball prospect for the cardinals :( His girlfriend also passed away, car accident

I get that and agree. Go over to TBD and see that for sure lol, I just don't think that is what's been going on this thread at all. And I disagree about the focus on running today. Jets have the worst secondary in the league and great run D. We have a bad interior line and down to a fullback like you said, with great WRs. Why wouldn't the emphasis be on passing (every successful bils paly today was a pass). I just think you should play strengths and weaknesses, they have a great run d and an atrocious pass D, so why not throw on them more? And you explained why the average ypc was 2, i understand that, that's why I dont get running a fullback up the middle and into their strength repeatedly. It was never going to work, and it didn't Its not like we lost our RBs this game and couldn't prepare. We have another RB we literally traded for (for circumstances like this). Meh, I'm ecstatic over the win today. However, the team is still extremely undisciplined. And hackett's gameplans on offense are still embarrassing. (I don't remember what I posted as my predictions in this thread, but I think this is a playoff time with more positives than negatives). I think the two biggest negatives are the penalties and Hackett. It doesn't take a genius not to one your fullback up the middle against the run D all game. And if the only excuse is not to get orton hit, then we need an OC. There are other plays you can run that can protect your QB without setting up 3rd and 8 every 5 minutes
-
Its never as black and white as we won so everything was good and you cannot criticize anything, and we lost so nothing was good and we can criticize everything. If you can't find the negatives of this game, then oh well.

Another reason to give top picks 2+ years
Johnny DangerFace replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club
Yea the grigorenko and even armia calls of busts were silly. But in everyone's defense, we are much more focused on our prospects than we should be, so we most likely expect more faster and hold them to a higher standard. 17 and 18 year old kids aren't normally able to be productive in the nhl for 3-4 years. -
I am super happy, I was just explaining why the thread read like it did lol. And My other point is, the offense has play makers all over the field at WR, down to its 3rd string RB, the weakness is the interior of the O-line, the jets strength is the interior of their D-line, we lost Woods......and we were insistent in running up the middle from the start with zero success at any point. It was obvious the bills were going to do that today, it didn't work, shocker.
-
A player taunted to to take us out of FG range. A player taunted and got tackled on his way to a TD. The offense was very inefficient and was insistent on running up the middle (it is the focus of the offense). I never thought we were going to lose today, but something is not right with the offense.

Gotcha, that's fair. 3rd pairing was not fair :P

That game isn't over yet
