I’d also rather watch JPP and Weissbach than Eakins and Drake, but both might be better served dominating in the AHL for now. It depends on their mental fortitude of whether or not they can survive a season of getting caved in the NHL right now. I think Cozens should also spend time with the Amerks, but that doesn’t seem likely.

In starting to think you might be onto something. Cozens has not been impressive thus far in preseason. It might be super silly to start him at 1C this year. I can appreciate the idea of letting him learn, but getting overmatched nightly might not be the best idea for his development.
