If I understand correctly, the surgery the Sabres want isnt normal for someone who is 24, and would require multiple other surgeries as he gets older.
-
Eichel doesn’t want the “proven” surgery because it supposedly means he will need multiple surgeries for the rest of his life. He’s only 24. Most 24 year olds don’t need to make this kind of life decision.
-
What is the best offer on the table? A second round pick, a questionable prospect, and a La Nova arena pizza?
-
He’s obviously good enough to skate in practices in Boston, but not good enough to pass a physical. The injury is severe enough to need a surgery. Seriously what would teams need to see? Everything is out in the public arena enough that me and you are talking about it.
-
Okay. So, if I wanted to watch ALL of the Sabres games this upcoming season (in market), what am I supposed to do? This has gotten very confusing very quickly.
-
He prolly also eats his wings with ranch. Vile.
-
It all depends on what other teams feel, I suppose. If other teams are okay with the surgery he wants, say okay and flip him for a top return. That’s their gamble. If teams don’t want him until he gets the traditional surgery, tell them to tell his agent so the Sabres and John can both move on. “Hey John, both the Bruins and Lightning will take you if you get the traditional surgery. What do you want to do?”
-
Or the way to improve is to stick Eichel in a cave and get nothing. I guess? John Robert Eichel, yes. Jack, for short, somehow if you know him personally.
-
Yes. John wants a surgery that the Sabres won’t approve of, and has the free will to get the surgery anyway and won’t do it. He could file a grievance but hasn’t done that either. John wants a surgery that worked for a couple of MMA players who fight once a year for 5 minutes, but there’s no data that it will work for an NHL player who plays 82 games a season for 22 minutes a night getting hit at 30mph every night by opponents wielding a weapon.
-
That’s not fresh air. That’s the stench of Papa John’s.
-
I understand that, but what would even be in there that isn’t already known about his injury?
-
This is correct. This is not correct.
-
Thanks. Now it makes more sense.
-
What is there to even see in his medical records? It seems like public knowledge by now what his injury is, and what the proposed treatment options for it are.
-
He’s prolly just busy filling up a Packers helmet with yellow and green M&M’s. I would say Craig should be captain, but it’s against one of the NHL’s outdated rules.
-
I tried to catch the scrimmage, but the traffic getting out of Highmark was the worst I’ve ever seen. I didn’t get back to Rochester until almost 9pm.

Headline Predictions for the Buffalo Sabres 2021-2022 Season

I’m honored to be named among the top SS beefs going on. -
Sorry 🤷♂️

Terry and Kim were busy attending the Bills game. Priorities, people.
-
People are odd. It would take him half a second to get vaccinated. Instead he would rather take more time to half-assed explain his choice on Twitter. “Cuz Merica.” Selfish.
-
Almost everyone made it through today. 11/20 people picked the Broncos, but it says 39% of people left picked them. Sounds like unusual math to me.
-
Yep. Pretty gross.

What do you expect from: #25 Arttu Ruotsalainen?
Andrew Amerk replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I’m going with option 1. He has steadily progressed every season, and there are no signs pointing to that stopping this season. He will potentially be a threat to lead the Sabres in scoring, largely because of who his competition will be. He should finish 5th behind Skinner, Dahlin, Cozens, and Olof, but you never know. -
I’m gonna go with 49 points in 68 games with the Amerks. 1 assist in 4 Sabres games at the end of the season.
-
That’s about what I would’ve expected. It looked like a collection of players that haven’t played together before, and haven’t played in awhile. The sound quality was pretty bad. I would like to see Murray make the team. He’s been a pretty good player for the Amerks whenever I’ve seen him, and I’m pulling for him to become a solid bottom liner in the NHL. I’m also hoping for a solid bounce back year from Skinner now that he has a coach that appears like he will put Skinner back where he belongs.
