If you personally know him, then you can speculate on why he would or wouldn’t allow the Sabres to share his medical records, until he decided to share them himself.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m one of those “you should draft a goalie every year because you never know” types. I’m also still high on UPL. The Sabres might slightly be trying to rush him a bit, but I still think he will turn out fine with proper AHL seasoning.

The Sabres need to get as many skating assets as they can get for John. G is not an asset they need. They have 3 G prospects in the pipeline, and no plans of being competitive this season (not tanking, just not good enough).

KA might not have been allowed to do that without John’s permission. It sounds like John has decided to share them himself now? I still don’t understand what other teams would need to see. It’s been public for a long time now what’s wrong with John, and what the available options for treatment are. Do they expect to see some shocking new detail in an X-Ray that multiple medical experts missed? I doubt medical records are the reason John hasn’t been traded, it’s the fact that he hasn’t gotten fixed.

Considering that the Rags don’t seem interested in giving up anyone of value, I hope they’re not the trade partner, unless they’ve changed their tune.
