Realistically the Sabres team should hit critical mass with talented incoming players in 2016 and most definitely 2017. By 2017 you could add Reinhart, Baptiste, Bailey, Compher, Fasching, Possler maybe. That is easily more talent than the current group.
Also the reason i don't want Myers gone, worst case he is our #3 D with risto - mcabe holding #1-#2.
If he is gone i want the likes of Mantha - nichuskin returning in that deal.

Dunleavy has been solid as can be , he isn't trying to emulate anyone and doing his own thing.
To be honest, RJ reminds of a Belgian football broadcaster from the past, just he passion, and the tremble in his voice when things got excited.
he just says: "there it is", "there it is" goaaaaaaaal
At some point here he says: "I hope its not to cold of a summer in siberia, they don't deserve to be send there, they are playing a good team"

I feel the refs don't actually wanna do anything today.... They missed a lot of little things that are typically called then that board, then no call on the response either, it's like old school officiating.... I don't hate it
To be honest i saw that hit a couple of times over. I wouldn't call it either, still feel like Gionta jumps in front of wingels to get the puck, tries to lay his body into it, but wingels can push him off without ease and it got ugly.
To me its more like Gionta seeking contact with a big guy wich he shouldn't have.

I don't expect that anyone knows anything, but I'll still ask — any updates?
I hope he is doing well , but the lack of news really has me worried. I never told anyone on this board here.
But i don't have any connections to buffalo.
There are only few things that connect me to the sabres.
First came NHL2000, buffalo sabres logo appealled to me , and you had some dude named "satan" .
Barnes, brown, Hasek and Peca, rasmussen, sanderson, Mckee, they all got me going.
Drury, briere, Dumont, Afinigenov, Roy, Pominville, vanek, and especially Miller ( still got the most respect for this guy, he came each night for a win).
But what got me fall in love with this team is RJ, he is the true fan, the true believer; i want his voice on the background when we raise the cup.
I know im just from Europe, but try watching a game at 01.00 am, without RJ, it just isn't the same.
The passion coming from his voice , for this team, got me hooked more than any player could.
I really hope he is getting better, I don't care if he ever gets behind the play by play again, I want him to see the sabres raise the cup.

I think if the kids can play around 20 games after new year for the sabres, i think this turnaround might be quicker than most think.

Yeah the harsh schedule in october made it so i didn't expect many wins.
You only play only two non - playoff teams in florida and carolina, you can't expect much , but it will get better.

I think Zadorov should play more, but I thought he looked confused/lost a couple of times. Expected that, though.
Normal if you are being benched for so long, but yeah put him in more.

Ok for no other reason than conversation IF we have the 2nd pick is the difference between Eichle and Hannifan too big that if the team with the 3rd pick offered us a great package that included the 3rd pick do you consider it?
Now before you butcher me just consider all the variables. One he is in college and may have no desire to leave until we are relevant. Two by having Hannifan you more than adequately replace Myers who you move for NHL ready players. Three by trading the 2nd pick you pick up more NHL ready players. Four we already have Grigo, Girgs, and Samson in the center pipeline.
I know it sounds crazy but I do not feel Eichle is McDavid. McDavid I do not even contemplate moving. Just food for thought.
I will add another twist. If you pick Eichle do you move one of the other guys?
From what I've seen Mcdavid and eichel are very close, but the one thing i like the most when we have to choose between the two is, Eichel has a wicked shot,
we got enough set up guys, but i'd like a future with.
Samson - eichel : set up guy - finisher
Grigs - hodgson: set up guy - finisher
and you can put Armia, Baptiste, Bailey, Zemgus, compher, Ennis on either of those lines.
Ennish is the Gionta we already had :P

Seriously i think Hodgson needs a good center to play with, and this team needs one to win faceoffs.
hopefully grigs can become that.
On gionta, don't think he is over the hill yet, but he isn't a 2nd liner, he has his spot lower on a good team.

Apparently Benoit, Mezaros and Weber have earned ice time. Replace those 3 with McCabe, Pysyk and Zadorov... instant upgrade, but we don't want that. Keep the tank rolling in the right direction.
yeah but would be lovely to see zadarov atleast bang some bodies around.

1) I'm very confident those numbers are either completely inaccurate, or compiled in a way that renders them invalid.
2) So what? "Women do bad things too!" really isn't a rebuttal to my "don't touch women/children" comment. Misdirection at its finest (or worst, depending on perspective).
Your first point can be said by any statistic.
Secondly, i had an abusive father untill i was 6, so I am all for the don't touch women/children. Just saying often domestic violence isn't as clearcut as it often looks.
I have two buddies who had abusive girlfriends in their life, try not hitting a women when she is physically hurting you, and for some men mental triggers are enough.
Probably shouldn't have thrown those numbers out there , don't really feel like a debate over this anyways.
