Well i was against grigorenko going down, but now I'm very much cool with keeping him there for a month or two atleast.
They need to get this ###### straightened out with the sabres first.

Myers - Gorges
Moulson - with a good center he scores 30 goals a season.
Zemgus
Marcus - not deslauriers because i think marcus is more talented
Kaleta, he can be on the 4th line with marcus.
I just don't see any room for ennis if we draft Mceichel and with already Samson and Grigorenko waiting for a top 6 spot.
Hodgson is on the bubble if he can make an effective top 6 winger.

Amazingly, as bad as the Sabres are, they aren't ranked last in the league. We're still 1 point ahead of Edmonton, and tied with Winnipeg and Carolina in points. Granted, Edmonton has only played 5 games, and Winnipeg and Carolina 4 games vs 6 for Buffalo.
But if Buffalo wants the worst record in the NHL, they're gonna have to go out and earn it. They've got some stiff competition from those 3 teams.
True, but i do expect winnipeg to improve a bit, and carolina certainly with skinner and the staals back.
Edmonton however, they go to more sucking via trades for sure.

Listen up, folks: I don't care how pro-"tank" you are. If you're not rooting for the Sabres to beat the Bruins 19-0 with multiple fists connecting with the oversized noses of Lucic and Marchand, you are no Sabres fan.

I was pissed when they send down grigorenko, but now i don't want him anywhere near this stinkfest.
Let him get some more confidence and bring him up after new year, get samson the hell out of here to.
Allthough i do think Samson is mentally stable enough to put things in persective.

Ok im drunk right now, but i don't feel like shittign around this anymore.
If detroit/anaheim didn't think he is the missing link on their blue line, this thread probably wouldn't happen.
They see value in him, probably not wiling to give much up for it, fair game.
I'm just happy so many are pissed off about the low ball offer floating around for myers, most of us have come around on him and want him to stay with us.
So i say ###### all the rest, lets keep our little marfan :P
I'll continue banging the drum for the brilliance that is GMTM managing to get Gorges to pair with Myers. We haven't had a defensive pair that makes so much sense since maybe Tallinder/Lydman?

I don't see Detroit putting Nyquist or Mantha on the table for Myers. Those are two players you keep and build around if your Detroit. I see Holland offering other players, picks or prospects.
That is just it, Myers is something you build a team around as well. They want a right hand top D, you pay heavy for it.

OK, I'm talking about Mike Weber. He's plays 100% out there no doubt, but lets be real, he is TERRIBLE. Out of position alot, gets burned in the corners and in front of the net, dumps the puck in before the red line causing icing. Don't mean to bag on the guy, but he just does not have it. I'm quite amazed he is on the team as bad as they are. He's not a quality NHL D man. Your thoughts folks?
Maybe next year, Meszaros and Benoit are bugging me more, strachan is a bit of a surpise as in, he can compete for a 7th D spot and push weber away next year.
But then again, only 4 games into season, any of those 4 can be our 7th D next year.

If Dylan Larkin is the best prospect coming back then no thanks.
Indeed this is where most sabres fans, and hopefully murray is at.
Myers is our top D, The way risto is playing at the moment, you can't afford to lose myers.
He'll anchor our blue line when we'll become a playoff team, and im optimistic about that being next year already.
You want him, you start with Nyquist + ( yes i say mantha, because he is what he is, a prospect with 0 NHL games)
We aren't the desperate team, but also these first games + preseason have shown Ristolainen isn't licking at Myers heals yet.
Now here is where it gets interesting for me, Hodgson, why did we play him at center last night ? Did the redwings want something coming back ?

Well i did read somewhere earlier this months the knights were at max imports without zadorov.
Maybe that is resolved now and the sabres can send him back when they want.

1-1 pretty fair result
Bad result for bosnia though , they start out with a 2/9. They have alot of catching up to do.
netherlands are 3/9, lost to a surprising iceland, bot czech republic and iceland are 9/9 in that group.

I think we collectively underestimated how much losing The Hoff would matter. He definitely mailed it in at the end of last year, but he was the only defenseman who could consistently generate offense. The Hoff was on the ice for 80 of the 150 goals the Sabres scored last year.
I firmly believe the hoff will be back next year. I always liked him, yes he went down with the rest of the team.
Let me remind you guys though, he wanted to be a sabre and play in buffalo.

I would let him go to St petersburg, atleast he'll play , right now sitting in the stands isn't doing anything for his development.
And im not so sure he'd stay over there, seems like the kid wants to be in the NHL.
