  1. Drunk two days in a row, nice.

    Well been boozing since

thursday actually 5 bottles of white wine in 2 hrs with a friend of mine

Friday night, Darts night, well 20 beers are a start then

    Saturday party party party party

Sunday, well took a day off a bit :P

Tonight, had cravings ... knowing i had to work 7 nights after this one :P

Seems I'll be watching Rochester games instead of sabres games, just liking grigs to much :P

  2. Maybe i have been to much of a fanboy when it comes to grigorenko, and the fact i got drunk on monday isn't helping it much either.

I just don't see Armia and Grigorenko getting along, all i read from alot of you guys, Grigs needs to tear up the AHL with Armia.

Sorry i just don't see that happen. I can see them both doing well, but on seperate lines.

I do see Armia doing well with the likes of Reinhart, Mcdavid. Not Eichel, Eichel is better than Mcdavid because he has a wicked shot.

  3. I think it's a good idea to send Grigorenko back to Rochester...but he needs to be put on a line with Armia, and played in ALL situations.

As for the captaincy? Anybody else besides Gionta would be a slap in the face to him, after leaving Montreal for Buffalo. He was a long-time Captain of the most storied franchise in hockey...this is the reason he was brought in, to be the Captain of the NHL's worst team. (Nobody deserves it more.)

No , he needs to be put on a line with Cody :P

Another issue is Zadorov, I don't know if there is room for him in juniors even. That also might be a reason why they are making this roster moves.

Grigorenko is a guy that wants to play for the sabres, next year we might have a good luxury problem.

    Mcdavid/eichel 1A

    Grigorenko 2a

    reinhart 2b

    Larsson 4c

Notice how i left out Zemgus, because in this situation he is better off on the wing of Grigs or reinhart.

  4. Interesting news on Griggy. No doubt he's PO'd. The key will be whether he uses it as motivation to get better and show the coaches they were wrong -- or whether it triggers sulking and laziness.

As I posted in another thread, I think the Sabres are planning to give Reinhart his 9 games and make Griggy, IF he plays well in Rochester to start the year, the first top-9 injury replacement call-up. I don't think they'll call up Griggy for game #10 (assuming Reinart goes down after game #9) unless he's really tearing it up in Rochester.

They just went the easy road, Grigs didn't have to clear waivers, only thing that pisses me off is that i loved how Hodgson and Grigorenko start to create something and they pull them appart again.

I wanted those two to play togethers since Grigorenko got drafted.

Another part of the easy road they took is , they would have to push Zemgus back to 4C or 3rd line winger, seeing he "earned" more than that treatment also. Allthough I keep thinking Zemgus will always be no more than 3C on a good team, and on this team he might have to learn to live with that 3W 4C spot starting next year.

Seeing our schedule, Reinhart will face some stiff competition to show he can stay up.

  5. What are you worried about, I know nothing about football but the bills will thrash the patriots.

You got one of the best D in the league right now, if they do their job and orton throws like he did in 2nd half that is :P

  6. That second line looks like a smart opposing coach's wet dream. I don't know how much matching and specialization Nolan plans on doing, but that second line needs heavily protected minutes.

How much of the preseason did you see ? Grigorenko and Stewart are far from players that need " protected" minutes.

Zemgus might skate well, he has no were near the talent and on ice vision Grigorenko or Reinhart has. If he makes it onto top 6 minutes its on the wing.

  7. I've said numerous times last year during GDT i wanted to see Hodgson on Grigorenko's wing.

Granted he may not have been ready for it last year , but this could be our future 2nd line.

And the Garth blog about Mikhail Grigorenko and Tyler Ennis was very well written, wich was surprising.

  8. Makarov - Lieuwen / Ullmark backing him up.

Yes makarov looked shaky sometimes, but lets not forget he jumped 2 leagues at once straight to NHL last year.

And he showed flashes of making saves that should have gone in, of all our goalies he is the only i can see make that kind of saves.

Some consistency in the AHL this year and he is our future goalie.

That being said i haven't seen any games from our swedes.

  9. And?

    Grigorenko :D

nah to be serious, i can see us getting 70+ points.

Ottawa, washington, phoenix, carolina, edmonton, calgary even Detroit (painfull team without zetterberg and daytsuk) are scaring me alot.

I can see them all ending below us in that order.

  10. Not going to hang around for 3rd period , it being 03.00 am :P

But Myers-Gorges combo is everything I expected.

seems to me stewart - stafford - Gionta can be switched on first 3 lines easy.

Zadorov playing better but i just feel there is no room for him on this roster, mind you he has to be better than McCabe and Pysyk.

Grigorenko is skating very well, also keeping his head up and reading plays well. This is the kid i wanted to see for two years now.

He'll be the steal in the 2012 draft.

It is a very bad washington squad, wouldn't say B team, but we are blowing them away.
