I just loved how the crowd reacted to the goals, they got the fans back.
Bad day for the tank though, and yes i want Cojack :D
The pass myers gave to set up gionta was a beauty.
-
I think they should send zadorov to the WJC and give meszaros our tank commander more playing time, these one goal win games are sickening.
-
Not sure where to put this...
@TSNBobMcKenzie: No decision made yet but BUF is seriously considering loaning Nikita Zadorov to RUS for WJC.
Murray said on WGR that he's going to sit down with Zadorov and find out what he wants to do.
Wouldn't be a bad thing if he goes to WJC, prolly good for tank to :D
-
boring as hell indeed.

Solid save by enroth on the breakaway
-
Trading Myers makes no sense unless the return is out of this world. He's been playing great, has figured out his role, I believe, and should stay one of our long term assists. Now that he doesn't feel he has to be the big mean physical defenseman who goes out and gets hurt all the time and instead relies on his skating ability he is a keeper.
Yeah i don't want to see him go either anymore.
-
Beat me to it, although I would love (and I suspect TM and TN would too) a Mike Richards on this roster. If the Sabres could get O'Reilly without having to give up Myers, Risto or Nikita, I would be thrilled.
Probably won't take much to get mike richards out of LA, they are in cap trouble for next year.

I'd never move grigs to the wing he is our most natural center we have.
-
Having a hard time thinking of any game-changing, anchor-type centers that came out of nowhere in today's league. Reinhart would be our shot at it.
You misspelled grigorenko
Enroth making a case for a new contract lately.
-
I agree. I think Grigorenko's true potential is just starting to show through. His skating is markedly improved and I believe that was a key reason he appeared "lazy" or "slow" during his NHL time. He simply couldn't skate well. Reminds me a bit of what is going on with Draisaitl out in Edmonton.
That and he pretty much is the best we got when it comes to face offs.

Vancouver is in a win now mode, the sedins have only a few good years left.
-
The article about him being available had nothing to do with the dog house or performing. He's one of the few Yotes playing well (8-8-16 in 23 games). It's that they know they won't be able to pay him going forward and want to shake things up.
I personally love the idea of trading for Boedker.
If Arizona is looking at a fire sale then I would be all over Boedker, Yandle and OEL.
Must have misread it then, wonder what it will take from us to nab him though.
-
I'd love it, especially because then we'd have a Great Dane to go with our Latvian Locomotive.
Sadly, I doubt Arizona would trade him.
Edmonton might work too, they seem hellbent on getting a #2 center and Hodgson is that.
Yeah i doubt it to, but i read somewhere he is in the doghouse and not performing well this season.
-
Hodgson for Boedker ?
-
Girgs breaks a hand he can thank Kaleta and McCormick. It all started there.
Can u tell i live in Tampa and who my next favorite team is?
See i don't get people like you, I got one team and one team only, screw all the others.
And this fight is justified, that hit from hedman was way to late. Zemgus got lucky , could have been real bad on the knee.
-
pretty fitting with movember comming to an end
-
hah crap, lost internet connection last night, so only got to watch till the end of the first.
From what i saw, zadarov and ristolainen looked very good again, and Myers was a force everytime he skated up the ice.
Only negative thought i had was, we still aren't winning any faceoffs, can't wait for grigorenko to come up next year just for that alone.
edit: the faceoffs must have been better in 2nd and 3rd looking at stats.
Hodgsons shootout goal was nicely done, hope he gets more confident again.
-
Edmonton is the reason why players get no trade clauses, because who wants to end up in that craphole ?
-
I haven't seen anyone post this yet, but Zemgus is currently *7th* in All-Star voting.
He is 1st now :w00t:
-
I'm sure I could find eight or nine Hodgsons outside of the Bill Grays ice arena in Rochester. Guy is a complete waste of a lot of money. I would rather have Kassian back in a heartbeat.
You must be drunk, go home :D
Seriously, fire Ted Nolan not good for the tank.
This team isn't to bad lately, sabres took alot of heat for "tanking" in october, but that was a month we played against the best in the NHL,
That is also why i say we shouldn't be in the playoffs this year, if we go there i want to win it all, that ain't happening.
So lets tank and draft well. If we keep playing this way we'll be happy to get away with strome, wich isn't a bad thing either.
-
Might not get send back down
-
If they keep up this winning business, we're going to have to start a "Hit List" thread for all of the players who are working against the tank, and who, therefore, need to go.
Hey accidents happen, we can surely find someone to arrange something to keep certain guys out of it for a while :P
no seriously, edmonton is sucking so badly its scaring me.

Never been a fan of star wars, always like Stargate, Star trek (especially DS9) and Babylon 5 more.
And offcourse the one that ended to soon , SaaB, Space above and Beyond.

It did NOT take the Chicago Blackhawks that many years to field a competitive team. Also, GMTM has stated it would not be that many years until the team is competitive.
If we're still tanking in 2016, I would declare the GMTM rebuild a failure.
indeed the suffering has gone on long enough, if we draft mcdavid or eichel im expecting playof contention atleast next season.
Sabres are ruining Murray's plan---what does he do??

So we might miss out on Mcdavid and eichel, with the talent we got, i'll be happy with strome.
With the first two i can see us making playoffs next year already, strome might not be on the team next year but he'll be fine.
